I absolutely love my Vita-Mix. My husband and I made a pledge to start eating better and this blender has helped us keep our pledge. I have been using it for the last 5 years. It comes with a video and cookbook. The recipes, beverages, soups sauces, salad dressings, batters for baking to desserts, are very tastie. There are also vegetarian items and also they provide nutritional information so you need to calculate sodium or sugar intake or just want to know the calorie count of a recipe, this is very handy tool. We also purchased the grain container. This is great for grinding fresh coffee, all types of flour from kernels, which can be purchased at Whole Foods. I also use the Vita-Mix to grind up the ends and peels from vegetables to make organic plant food for my gardens. I just add enough water to grind and blend and then pour it around the root base of my plants and then water it in fully so not to attract critters. The containers and blades are easy to care for just fill with water and liquid soap place on base and turn on full speed and it cleans the blades. You will have to then wash the container. The base is easly cleaned also. The rubberized top can be removed and cleaned with damp cloth. Its easy to eat healthy and not spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Try it you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
