Last week I picked up the Vista Point Vineyards Merlot and was very impressed since it is only $1.99, so this week I picked up their Chardonnay. I have to admit, I am not a huge fan of Chardonnay; it tends to be a little too oaky for me. The Chardonnay by Vista Point wasn't too bad. I'm not sure if I am swayed by the $1.99 price tag, or if the wine is that good :) It's not too oaky, it's not too fruity and it has the perfect amount of butteryness. The label doesn't pin point a specific location that the grapes were harvested from, it just states that it is made of Chardonnay grapes from all across California.
Where Can you buy it?
The only place I have ever seen this wine is at a local market called Fresh & Easy, which are only in California, Nevada and Arizona. I am sure you can get it elsewhere though.
The Scoop!
Even though I am not a Chardonnay lover, I would still buy this wine because:
1) White wine is so much more refreshing in the summer
2) Did I say it's only $1.99
I say give it a shot. Hey, if you don't like it, your'e only out two bucks!
