Having to deal with the Fall weather isn't just limited to the rainy season and the onset of cold weather. It also brings with it a lot of wind, which will pick up the dust, and virtually fling it at your eyes. It is very similar to walking during the summer and having specks of pollen get into your eyes. The discomfort is enough to drive you crazy every time, and anyone who has even had something in their eye knows the feeling all too well. When this happens, you run the risk of scratching your eye if you are not careful on how you deal with it. To the rescue comes a great product like Visine that works in more ways than one to "get the red out." It's never been easier to deal with the discomfort that can come from pollen, dust, or ragweed that gets stuck in the air, just looking for an eye to pollute.

Visine A.C. is an astringent redness reliever in the form of an eye drop. It comes in both 1/2 ounce and small 1 ounce bottles that are created perfectly for travel. So if you carry a purse you can just toss it in there, or you can just keep it in the glove compartment or center console of your vehicle. The bottle is made of a clear plastic, and comes with a screw on cap that comes off to reveal a nice little spout. That "spout" is where you squeeze out the solution, and put it to use. The plastic bottle is built of a very pliable plastic, which makes it easy to squeeze, and not only that, makes it very light to carry around. The bottle is constructed so that the liquid catches as it is coming out, and forms a nice little droplet that is perfect for application. This is great insurance that you don't overuse the solution, and further assistance in measuring out the perfect dosage.

The directions of the Visine are to apply 1 to 2 drops into the affected eye. When you feel like you have something in your eye, or if you are suffering from a lot of redness, that is the perfect time to put it to use, or to consider it "affected". Applying those 1 or 2 drops, you get almost instant relief, and in my experience, it makes your eye feel so much better than before. It is almost like cheating, because instead of waiting for your eye to tear up in order to clear it out, you get to use an external liquid. You can apply those drops once every 4 hours as needed. Also, if you have had a long night, and are looking to hide the redness at work the next day, a quick application of Visine is exactly what the doctor ordered. It not only helps you with the feeling of your eye, but with the outward appearance that could be very important in your personal and professional life.

The bottle of Visine that I have right now, is the 0.5 ounce (14ml), which is sold in a box at just about every store that sells medications. I guess the box is to protect the bottle in shipment, and it comes with instructions as well as the warnings and ingredients list. It normally sells for around $4.00, so it may seem expensive for a small product, but I can tell you that it is well worth it. It is one of those products that you don't want to over-use though, so you want to keep it out of the hands of children if they are in the house. It works best on seasonal occurrences such as pollens and dusts, and really gives you a lot of relief if you are suffering from "dry eyes." I think the product works great every time, and that it is well worth purchasing if you have ever suffered from any of the items I have mentioned in my review. So go out and pick up a bottle today, and your red eyes will be a thing of the past!
