visa credit cards, like most credit cards i would say, don't really help your credit.  however they can hurt it.  of course it might depend what your credit limit is but i would recommend discretion when deciding to use it.  Make sure you are able to pay the balance in full when the bill comes.  If not interst will start to pile up and before you know it, you start making minimum payments.  A very big mistake because then it take s forever to pay it off.  That is if you ever going to pay it off because chances are there will always be stuff that you will be tempted to use the credit card...

The seems to want to help you make your payments on time, not stick you fo a higher interest rate.
