Visa - Debit Card —

Debit Cards are definitely the way to go for people who are financially strapped during these times of financial woes. This way, if you have it, you can spend it, if it's not there; your bank sets the limit of overdraft and let's you know of insufficient funds and you can't spend more than you have in your account. It is not a Visa Card--it comes right out of your checking account, in most cases now, stores are hooked up to the banks for instant transactions.

Speaking from past experience, it has helped me to stay within my spending limits. Once you learn to pay for "necessities" first, the debit card only gives you so much money to spend--your money (not borrowed money w/interest). Therefore equalling no repayment, no worry or stress about how the bill got so high or maxed out--because you can't go there. It has been a lifesaver for me after I closed all my credit cards out. I actually save more now knowing I only have so much to spend and I transfer the balance at the end of each month over to a savings. Along with selling a sports car I had, this has helped me to become debt free over the past year.....financial freedom at last.
