Virgin Airlines Review Summary
Wondering what our members think about Virgin America Airlines? They loved it. Family travelers liked Virgin because of the video games, on demand entertainment and gift packs that come standard in every class. Our reviewers also report that Virgin Airline flights are a "pleasant" experience with extremely friendly stewardesses. However, members weren’t as happy with Virgin customer service on the phone. Some said “I’m not impressed”. Members also commented that you have to pay extra for more leg room—bummer! Overall, Virgin American Airlines got great reviews and is considered one of the best airlines by Viewpoints reviewers. Read what others say are the

love to travel, a woman, not afraid of flying, kind person, appreciative of good service, family traveler, married, parenting a toddler
I have flown Virgin a few times, since my husband is British and his entire family is "across the pond". — I've been impressed by their service, the quality of their food, the on-demand entertainment in front of each seat (even in coach) and yes, the little travel gift pack left on your seat. — We have not yet purchased a ticket for our over 2-year-old, but when my sister-in-law last visited in late 2005, her then 4-year-old got a great little backpack with treats inside as a part of purchasing his ticket. I wonder if they still do that. — Overall flying Virgin has…

budget conscious traveler, into romantic getaways
We flew from SFO to LAX with Virgin America and we were quite impressed by the ameneties and comfortable flights. The flight took off on time as well. — They made their best impression when we forgot our flight's departure time and got to the airport barely 15 mins before the take-off. The front desk staff helped us by informing their team on the gate about our arrival and while we literally ran through the security and sprinted our way to the boarding gates, the virgin america staff made sure that we could board it. — We paid the lowest fare in the US for those tickets and had…

I travel all the time - for work and for pleasure, with my family and alone. I have tried every airline I can find. I am a member of all sorts of frequent flying programs. Virgin comes out head and shoulders above the rest. The seats are relatively comfortable. The air staff is couteous and efficient. The frequent flyer perks are worth it. The online entertainment is sufficient. I have travelled with them at least ten times and they have never been late or delayed or cancelled. The tickets are affordable without being cheap. Really cheap tickets usually indicate really cheap airlines -…

May 16, 2008 — Dear Customer, — I felt compelled to write this letter after the thirtieth birthday trip my partner and I planned was foiled by the apathetic attitudes we experienced when dealing with Virgin America Airlines. Initially we booked this flight because we were told this smaller trendy airline was fun and slightly more personable than the typical "box them up and shove them through" airlines most of us experience when we fly today. Initially we had some problems booking through the airlines web page so I called them directly and had a representative…

In March, we found this great deal from San Francisco to Las Vegas on Virgin Airlines. I can't remember exactly how much...I want to say $39 one way- it was unbelievably cheap so I couldn't resist. I've never been to "Sin City" so I thought this was an awesome trip with 3 of my girlfriends. After booking the tickets online, which was a breeze, we looked forward to trying this airline since we had some good reviews from other buddies. When we got to the gate, the ticketing agent was so personable and down-to-earth. This is one of the few…

a frequent flyer, appreciative of good service, budget-conscious traveler, family traveler, parenting a toddler, married
This past summer I was introducted to Virgin airlines for the first time. I was headed home from Kenya which in a nerve wracking two full days of traveling. My Virgin airlines flight was my last flight from Londaon to Dulles. I was already in a bad mood and just wanted to get to my seat and fall asleep. However, when I got on the plane the attendant promply and politely directed me to my seat, stowed my bags for me, and started explaining the various features of the flight. Well needless to say, I was blown away. This was not the type of attention that I am used to from other airlines. Maybe…

married, into trying new things, thirty something, appreciative of good service, budget conscious, picky about hotel rooms, willing to pay for quality, expecting good, fair service
I had tried several times to book my flight online through virginamerica, but was stopped at the point where I could purchase my flight. — Frustrated I proceeded to call the customer service desk for assistance, while I still had the screen available for viewing. As I am talking to the representative, I select the purchase button again and the price changes before my eyes. I tell the rep what has occurred and his only answer was, I;m sorry I can;t help you, mayne you should change your flight ime or fly on a dofferent day. I asked to speak to a supervisor, to see what he could…

When a couple of people from a Middle Eastern country hastily left our plane after being seated, it created quite a stir. The head steward efficiently had the area stripped down as the couple's bags were found in the cargo section and removed. His calm made a big difference as he fielded questions, accomodated those of us in the area, and worked with a new stewardess. The rest of the trip was uneventful and very pleasant. Our kids loved the video screens and personal gaming systems. The kit bags were wonderful touches, comfy socks and toothbrushes in fun colors. And of course,…

In reading the other reviews, it seem that they are review ing Virgin ATLANTIC and NOT Virgin AMERICA!! Where else can you fet a great first class experience for about $500-$600 . The planes are quite funky inside, mood lighting, order food from your seat. Nice looking flight attendants in stylish uniforms. In first you get a nice reclinign seat that will give you a massage as well. The counters and signs are quite elegant, modern and different from any other carrier. Neew to fly from NYC more than just two…
