There is a lot to say about the Villaware Classic Waffle Maker. Ours was made exclusively for William-Sonoma and while I initially cringed at the $60 price it's been worth it.
We've been using it for nearly every weekend for 3 years now and the nonstick surface has held up beautifully.
Getting Started: The alert sound and light lets you know when it's ready to use and with an adjustment of the browning control you are well underway to making the perfect waffle. Generally we give it a light spray over the non-stick before the first waffle is made and they always easily come out everytime afterwards. While the browning control goes up to 7 we usually don't go beyond a 3 and when the loud and crisp ready beep sounds you can leave it in a little longer for crisper waffles.
Clean up: We almost always have some spillage but even the outside cleans wonderfully with a little soap and water. I've never owned one that cleaned up so well after each use.
When this model needs replacement we'll look to buy the exact same one again.
