I love this hand mixer! It is so easy to use and even has a retractable cord for easy storage! It is a great digital hand mixer! I have one in the silver color and have seen it also in a red color. I chose the silver since my kitchen is stainless steel and no red; both colors are very attractive. I bought this hand mixer to go with my kitchen suite of Viking Pro appliances, although I do use another popular brand stand mixer for breads (use the dough hook). Viking does not disappoint and again has a winner in this mixer. I love the Viking reputation, performance and features they consistently include in their products; cutting edge! I would highly recommend Viking appliances (large and small) to anyone without hesitation. Some mixers are noisy, but this one is reasonable - not screechy like most just to turn it on. Mixing Performance Consistently mixes evenly and is not too heavy to hold in your hand. Ease of Cleaning Perhaps the easiest mixer I've ever had to clean! Just wipe it off! The retractable cord is easy to clean also. Ease of Use The digital control is easy to understand and use. The beaters hold well when inserted and release well also. No controls to move around or have to try to remember control combinations like on other hand mixers I have owned; love how easy this one works! Design I think the retractable cord is fabulous and a real space saver in my drawer; very neat and clean. It has a reasonable weight so that your hand does not get tired and you can easily adjust your mixing speeds. LOVE IT! Durability I have had mine for a few years and works like a champ every time. This is a real winner - thanks Viking for putting so much thought into your products! I love this hand mixer!

I am in love with my Viking Digital 9 speed hand mixer!  I received it just a few months ago, after 4 years of marriage and cooking/baking with my KitchenAid.  I can't keep my KitchenAid on the counter, so I wanted a hand mixer to do quick jobs.  I really enjoy using it.  For one thing, it is bright and pretty looking and feels very sturdy.  It is made of metal instead of plastic, so it seems like it will last a long time.  The cord is stored inside the mixer.  You just pull it out to plug it in, and then turn the back grate of the mixer to roll it up.  It is a bit of a pain to roll the cord in, because you have to jiggle it to fit, but it is nice to hide it away.  It has 2 sets of attachments, but I only use one.  They are simple to plug in and then remove when you are done mixing.  As the name suggests, there are 9 speeds.  THis mixer has a digital display showing the number of the speed you are on.  There are up and down buttons that you push to change the speed, and it changes instantaneously.  You can go up gradually or very quickly.  You can also go from speed 9 to off in a split second.  Wonderful mixer!
