A pain- to add 250 words in a review in order to save it

This web site could be good, but to require different fields is ridiculous.  I may not want to add something about myself or to write a full paragraph about how great an item is or how horrible an item is.  They should ditch the 250 word review text requirement.

I agree 100% clp. I love writing reviews, but to have to have a minimum of characters is not always the easiest. In how many words do I have to explain that I love this product or I hate this product. It is not always the easiest thing to do.
I love having the freedom to say exactly what I feel or think about a product, but please don't put limits on what I want to say.
I am very disappointed in not having many incentives on writing reviews. I loved the dining dough and it was a great way for shy people to be encouraged to write what they feel about a product. I was just informed that the Dining Dough Certificates expired. Yes, it is nice to write reviews and read others reviews, but why should I post on Viewpoints rather than other sites. Where is my incentives? What do I get out of writing my reviews?

Like all things new it takes some getting used to and for those who don't want to spend any time and have no patience and limited attention spans it's gonna drive 'em nuts--but maybe it should drive 'em nuts, how many reviews over 10 words are they gonna read.. in fact they probably would only glance at the pros and cons... fields that people have to fill out.

Great comment about the site by the way. A valid perspective. I'll see if you have contributed other things to the site...

I like the little extras. For example, it helps to know that you're an IT professional. You could use that every time you need a tag and add value to reviews especially in that field area. On the pros/cons, I often think to put things that I didn't mention in the review. Maybe a "nothing to add here" button would help. I like the extras though - when I'm reading.

Why do you want to save your review? That is only if it is not finished. If you like it, publish.
