a multitasking master, sleep deprived, a busy mom, a savvy saver
Pros

    a great community, can review pretty much anything, ability to add user photos, can build network of trusted critics, easy to navigate

Cons
    bottom of main pic lost at times, I've lost info a few times before saving

Viewpoints  — 

Well, this is my 200th review and I am rapidly approaching my 6 month anniversary here at Viewpoints. I thought this might be a fitting place to review this very site:

  1. Great Welcome! CyndiA, my sister, encouraged me to write for Viewpoints when it was just beginning. Frankly, I wasn't so sure about signing up because I didn't tend to put any information about myself on the internet, so I procrastinated for quite a while. After joining, LOTS of other people on this site made a point of welcoming me and giving lots of feedback when I first started. Cyndi and I were even featured in the blog pretty soon after I came on board.
  2. Writing Experience. I've had the opportunity to practice more on my writing skills here at Viewpoints. This has encouraged me to work toward creating my own website, and I've started submitting more of my writing for publishing consideration.
  3. Got the Viewpoints Bug. I wasn't sure if I would be able to find much of anything to review, but now I seem to be constantly snapping pictures and have numerous reviews in the making without an end in sight. It is nice to have the freedom to review a wide variety of products and services without lots of rules regarding how to write the reviews. At times I might be offered a free product to review--the savvy saver in me loves free!
  4. Insomniacs and Talkative People Welcome in Discussion Boards. I guess I'm not the only one up and on the computer at 3 a.m. at times. The discussion boards often provoke lively conversations and interesting games. It's great to learn new things or to see things from a different perspective on Viewpoints.
  5. Chiefs Listen to the Indians. I've seen a lot of changes to the look and format of Viewpoints in just six months. I am impressed to see how many member suggestions have been incorporated. Discussion questions and observations often have rapid responses from the leadership here, and the atmosphere is one of mutual respect.
  6. Helped me to get closer to my sis! Viewpoints has actually helped me to get closer to my sister. We have more common ground since we are both now writing here. After being asked for a picture of the two of us for the blog, we realized we are the ones who are always behind the cameras. Getting together and getting a few shots of us having fun made for some fun memories and hopefully lots more to come!

So, there you have it. I've been here at Viewpoints to write 200 reviews in a little under six months. It's been a fun ride so far and I hope to be around for the 400 milestone!

You are a great addition to this site. Cyndi and I have been friends for a long time and I was excited when she told me her sister would be joining. My sister, LaurieM, also joined because I forced...er...asked her to. Now she is very much a part of the front and back end and it has brought us much closer. My son joined as well. It's a great place, this Viewpoints site is!

Thanks! A lot of my reviews are a shorter and have required much less research than your detailed ones. Toilet paper and Christmas cards don't require as much info! I'll be watching for you to hit that 200 mark soon.
