Great for basic use

By

from Newberg, OR

Comments about ViewSonic:

This was originally purchased for my husband to use, but he upgraded shortly after buying this one. He is more of a power user, using the tablet for work and personal. His job has him traveling a lot, so he needed it to be more like a laptop. This wasn't quite what he wanted. I, however, love this tablet! It works great for the basics- email, facebook, internet, games, kindle, netflix. I don't use it much for productivity, it's just for fun.

Ended up Returning this one

By

from Livingston, TX

Comments about ViewSonic:

I ended up returning this because after a week of using it, I became frustrated with many drawbacks that this unit had over the competition. I was unimpressed with the short battery life, the inability to use external USB devices (like a USB keyboard) and the overall build quality. It was very thick compared to the Kindle and Sumsung tablets. If it was half the price of a Kindle Fire I might have kept it - but for the money I can't justify keeping this. The Kindle Fire HD blows it away

Battery Life
The battery life was about half of my Kindle Fire - very substandard for a tablet.

Processing Speed
Processing speed was average - definitely not anything to write home about.

Weight
Weight was what I would consider average for tablets made at that time.

App Availability
The only issue I had was with Flash - but that seems to be a problem across all android devices and isn't device specific.

Design
I found the overall design poor because it couldn't use USB devices like an external keyboard. Bluetooth keyboards are more expensive.

Durability
Within one week I found this thing starting to fall apart.

Perfect for power users

By

from Tacoma, WA

Comments about ViewSonic:

Has good processing speed, has been dropped without breaking, stands up to a toddler playing "angry birds" for hours, upgrades to new versions of the Android system with relative ease.

Processing Speed
Can take a little while to load an ap, but it doesn't usually hiccup after the ap is running.

Spend your money on a better tablet or just save it!

By

from Trinity, NC

Comments about ViewSonic:

Does not participate in the google market.

Battery Life
battery life is very good!

Processing Speed
slow since it has a dated processor

Weight
a little bulky compared to the newer tablets, but still much better than a laptop

App Availability
since it does not participate in the google market, you have to use other app markets to get your apps at, or download them to your phone and then move them across via your PC.

Design
not a big fan of the "TapNTap" interface..

Durability
so far, it's been a trooper

Good price for a moderately good tablet

By

from Watertown, NY

Comments about ViewSonic:

Check the reviews and specs and make sure it fits your needs.

Battery Life
No the greatest battery life, but adequate for more needs.

Processing Speed
Runs at a good clip, we have no complaints but we also don't do any heavy duty processing on it either.

Weight
Light as any tablet of it's size.

App Availability
The entire Android market, for the most part. Some things don't run but very few.

Design
Looks nice and high tech as any tablet.

Durability
Seems to be built well.

Very nice Android Tablet

By

from Hellertown, PA

Comments about ViewSonic:

This device has the potential to be a Ipad killer. At a fraction of the price of an Ipad this device is faster and has the potential to utilize the full android market. This is bleeding edge technology and had a few bugs upon release. There have been a couple major updates to the software to fix many of the bugs though. This device has the potential to be around for a while and is a very good purchase IMO! I watch movies on it, play music, use office, browse the internet, and play games. It is great!
