My wife may have underestemated me when saying " The basement is yours" .     The viewsonic projector has turned our basement into a home theater.    We have a glass wall (1 side is painted white)  and the projector mounted on the cieling.     The picture is about 90" diagonally and as good as a theater.  The projector is about 8 feet from the wall.

We have directv hooked up with the regular non HD antenna.  The quality of picture is fantanstic.

The projector (PJ558D)  has all the features you need.  The ability to mount it upsidedown and flip the image.  Keystone to offset the angle from the cieling.    2,500 ANSI lumens  plenty of light.   Set to "cool" the lamp is suppose to last 2,000 hours.   The fan is super quiet barely notice when its on.

The set up is great for getting a huge picture with zero footprint.    We ran all the cables in the wall and cieling.  I strongly recommend doing the same.  It takes bit of preplanning but, worth it.   We have the components on shelves making this a very kid friendly envirment.    A bit of windex keeps the screen clean and they can't reach anything else.

A great set up for the basement or a room with little light.  The picture does fade dramatically during the day we have a lot of windows.

Great review, I suggest getting Digital HD Cable or HD Satellite TV, and maybe a BlueRay or HDDvd player. It will not be a true theater until you do so :)

Cool. Why do you need to flip it and why not get HD with Direct TV? And of course, when can I come over?
