Whoa, I'm so F'N crazy because I'm actually at my 150th video game based review already here on Viewpoints. Not too bad for someone with a nagging drinking problem, eh? So maybe you're asking yourself: is this guy completely out of his mind and how come he has all these reviews on the video games in the first place? Well, with the help of my friend we created our own video game website way back in the ancient times of 1999 when graphics were simpler and Britney Spears was still attractive. The site is called Videogames101.com and it comes jammed packed with reviews, console info, and even some of my freaky artwork.

Jumping back to December of 1999 my friend Sheldon Purkiss just got the Sega Dreamcast and we both had a fair collection of different gaming systems already. Since we were both big fans of games we thought it would cool to do our own website one day. With Sheldon's vast knowledge of computers and my ability to make fun of stuff the site was born.

The site is doing great now but it sure got off to a rocky start. For starters it was called gamegrandpas.com at first because everything we wanted to call it was already taken. Yeah, it was pretty stupid and I wanted a name change by year three. Fortunately, I saw the much cooler and superior name videogames101.com was up for grabs and I took it right away.

So what's on the site? First off there is a lot of history on the different consoles we owned throughout the years. We covered over 30 different gaming systems from newer ones like the Nintendo Wii to even the first ever video game machine known as the Odyssey (1972 baby!) so your getting decades of information right there.

Of course, since we don't get paid but any game companies we can express are own unbiased view on both the system and games themselves. We can get pretty mean too and each month we even name a crappy title the dishonour of the Total Recall Dud of the Month. The Dud series got named after the abysmal Total Recall NES game so you know why these specially selected games totally blow like a unwashed ho. Don't worry, we also review the good stuff out there as well so we can help you find the right titles your looking for in our positive reviews of StarSoldier's Game of the Month. Although I don't have a lot of these systems anymore because of all the bills to my house, I still have the Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Master System libraries in my collection which is about a 1,000 games alone so don't cry for me.

Another thing you'll find is some of my artwork. These insane doodles range from sketches of Metriods or other games to half naked girls used for promotions. Even though videogames101 is my baby and I poured everything into it: blood, sweet, and tears on it, the site could be better. This is a review after all and the site can use more images and some of the pics that are already on there look blurry or messy too. Maybe I can bump it up to a full five star in a few years, eh? Until then it's still a kicka$$ site that even won a few awards over the years. You have tons of down and dirty reviews and some good old fashion gaming knowledge from a couple of diehard gamers.

Videogames101 overall rating: 83/100

Yeah, unfortunately the Odyssey wasn't too popular when it first came out.

YOWZA!! 1972! Wow. Never even *HEARD* of the Odyssey...about the first gaming system I can recall were the Atari boxes from about 1980.
