** Vidal Sassoon model # vscl871 hair clipper is awful! **I have used hair clippers for years on my husband and kids hair. I thought I'd get a new hair clipper since my old one died on me. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of buying this one thinking I was getting a bargain. You know the saying that you get what you pay for? Well, it's right! Cheap price = cheap product quality. The clippers are very loud and irritating. If the person whose hair you are cutting is thick, you can just forget it...you will pull their hair out before you will cut it! You have to cut super slow in order to get it to cut at all. I used the oil that came with it and that didn't seem to make much difference in the clipper's performance. When it was all over and done with, I ended up returning the product to the store where I bought it because it was not something that I would ever use a second time and the quality was just poor.
