Great hair dryer

By

from USA

Comments about Vidal Sassoon Vidal Sassoon 1875W Turbo Stylist Travel Hair Dryer:

I love my vidal sassoon 1875 turbo hair dryer! The price is very reasonable for a product that in my opinion is of salon quality.

Effectiveness
My vidal sassoon hair dryer is very effective in drying my hair. I don't have th thickest hair, but Ihave no problem getting my hair dry with this great hair dryer.

Drying Time
The drying time needed for my hair is very low. It's very reasonable for it to take 10 minutes in my opinion to get my hair dry.

Settings/Features
I usually use the high setting to get my hair dry, but I also like the medium and warm setting for when I use a diffuser and styling product on my hair. I think both of these settings are very effective and get the job done for styling my hair the way I want it.

Noise Level
The noise level is reasonable. I wish it was not quite as loud because it scares my children, but that's not that surprising for them to be scared of any semi-loud noise.

Durability
The think the quality and durability of this vidal sassoon hair dryer is great. I haven't had any problems with anything breaking.

works okay despite the burning smell

By

from Sherman Oaks, CA

Comments about Vidal Sassoon Vidal Sassoon 1875W Turbo Stylist Travel Hair Dryer:

I'm not one to spend a lot of time doing my hair everyday. In fact, it's more in a ponytail than it is blow dried and styled. But when I do use it, the dryer works very well. My only bad thinkg that I have to say about it is that when I plug it in and turn it on, it starts to smell like something is burning. And it isn't my hair because I haven't put it near my head yet. It doesn't last long, but the initial freak out due to the smell sometimes deters me from continually using it. I don't know about you but the thought of an electric appliance that smells like smoke just isn't that comforting. But when I do use it, it works pretty well. It dries my hair quickly, is portable (I love how it folds in half for easier storage!) and has a cold shot. It also fits very comfortably in my hands; I have small hands and it's hard to find something I can hold with ease. I also wish, however, that it had low, ***medium**** ***and high settings instead of just low and high settings. Sometimes the low is too low and the high is just waaay too high. If I needed it more for everyday use, I would consider buying another one altogether. Maybe another day.

Great Price for a Great Product.

Comments about Vidal Sassoon Vidal Sassoon 1875W Turbo Stylist Travel Hair Dryer:

The Vidal Sassoon hair dryer was bought for my Chihuahua mix. My puppy would shack and shiver every time she had a bath. I bought the hair dryer to help dry her faster. I usally use the low settings for her. And it really did help her fur dry faster. And she would stop shacking sooner. I started using the higher setting on my hair in the winter. But mostly I us it for her.

Compact for travel, but not enough power

By

from Eagle River, AK

Comments about Vidal Sassoon Vidal Sassoon 1875W Turbo Stylist Travel Hair Dryer:

Our family recently spent time on vacation, and the condominium we stayed at was fairly well stocked.  We had two hair dryers, one in each of our bathrooms.  My daughter didn't care for the Vidal Sassoon hair dryer that was in her bath, so we exchanged models.  She felt it had a "hot" smell, but I did not notice that at all.

The Vidal Sassoon Turbo Stylist Travel Hair Dryer has 1875 watts, which is the power of most full sized hair dryers that I have owned.  This is a smaller hair dryer, and it does not have all of the features that I look for when choosing a model.  For those who are traveling and need to conserve space it might be just the thing.

The handle on this hair dryer folds up, making it more of a square shape, and the handle does not stick out at a 90 degree angle.  It is light weight too, which is sometimes a concern when packing a suitcase.

I call this  no frills hair dryer.  It has only two speeds: high and low, and two heat settings: warm and hot.  There is one "cold shot" button that gives a boost of cool air to help "set" a style.  I always dry my hair with a round brush and hair dryer, but I didn't really notice this cool shot button giving me any special styling power.

When I started to dry my hair, I used the warm heat and low power, which worked pretty good.  But after my bangs were styled I wanted to dry the rest of my hair on a more powerful heat setting and the highest setting did not provide nearly enough power in order to dry my hair as quickly as I am used to.  It seemed more like the medium setting on my three speed setting hair dryer at home.  My hair is fine and thin, but I have a fair amount of it and it still took a very long time to completely dry my hair on the highest setting.  This was disappointing.

I give this hair dryer high marks for portability, but it is not a styling tool that I would want to use every day.  I prefer three heat settings and three power settings, and this model had neither.
