Vidal Sassoon Flat Iron Review

   I decided to buy a flat iron striaghtener since it is all the rage and purchsed the Vidal Sassoon middle-of-the-road model at my local drug store.    Some of the reasons I chose this model was the wide heat plate and the price. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. 

   I was very disappointed in this flat iron.  It doesn't heat very quickly, and it doesn't close very tightly.   I found that I needed to really use some pressure to keep it closed as I slide it down my hair. I also had trouble with a piece of hair or two getting stuck under the edge of the heating plate and that hurt! The on/off switch is on the top of the unit's handle and I found that as I was using it, I inadvertantly switched the button to the off position just by the way I was holding it.  Then I had to re-heat it, taking more time.

  I would not recommend this product to anyone.  Pay for a good unit, it will be worth it.
