It does not make my skin feel soft like most lotions do, but it does add a nice shimmer to my skin. It is not something that I would use everyday, but if I am going out to a club, party, or maybe a special event then I would use this lotion before hand. Scent I really love this scent! It's like a deep perfumey "sexy" smell and it lasts for a long while after application. I would NOT suggest putting this on after you shave. I made the mistake of shaving my legs, and putting this lotion on (I have no idea what I was thinking), and it was so itchy! It was awful. But as long as you either wait a day or two after you shave to put it on, or if you just do not put it on those areas it is fabulous. Absorption I was disappointed in how much this adsorbed into the skin. Some of it soaked in and the rest of it kind of just stayed on top and left this sticky residue that I was not a fan of. Effectiveness It does make you shimmer, and the smell is to die for, but as far as lotions go this one does not add any moisturizing benefits.

I received this as a gift and was so excited to try it. I normally love Victoria's Secret's products, but this is one I do not care for. The scent is too heavy for me and I thought I would like the shimmer but it makes me feel like everyone is staring at me. I think after using this I prefer the ones without the shimmer. Scent If you like a very strong scent that lingers you may like this, it is just too loud and overwhelming for me. I prefer a lighter scent than one that lingers all day, it is hard to use some of the lotions when you ave allergies. Absorption This lotion does absorb into your skin fairly well but not as good as I thought it would. Most of the lotions makes my skin feel soft, but this one felt like it still lingered on my body that I felt like I needed another shower. Effectiveness If you are looking for something to help protect, prevent chafing and dryness I don't think this will work. I used it for a few days and my skin did not feel nourished and hydrated.

It's not going to magically change your whole perspective of yourself, but it will give you a slight boost to make you feel like a beautiful woman. Depending on what you want in a lotion, you will love this product. If you are looking for something to make you look and feel pretty, this is your product. If you want something that is ultra moisturizing, this is not the product for you. When I go to Victoria's Secret, I am not searching for the most moisturizing products; I am looking for something that makes me feel confident. Scent This stuff smells magical. I love it. Absorption It absorbs and isn't sticky or anything like that. It doesn't moisturize, but it does dry without feeling like it has a filmy layer on top of the skin. Effectiveness Again, depending on what you are looking for, this could be effective for what you're looking for it doing.

Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Now Shimmering Body Lotion is a nice lotion to have on hand for special occasions. I love to apply this to legs and arms for a party, wedding, or event where I will be wearing a dress. It leaves a very nice shimmer, not too excessive, and the delicious scent of Very Sexy Now. It is really nice. I also enjoy using it at the beach when you go out in the evening for legs and arms as well. It goes really well with your skin after a nice day in the sun to add to the nice bronze look. It really enhances it. I also like that the shimmer is subtle and not outrageous as some I have seen. This is one is more natural and doesn't go overboard with it. The lotion itself has a wonderful and also hydrates the skin along with the shimmer it adds. It is a nice scent that is soft and subtle and not overpowering. I always like to have a shimmer lotion on hand and I have really enjoyed this one. Victoria's Secret does it again!!
