I can recall that my grandmother used  Vicks for everything - even , amazingly , for burns !  She swore by it and it has been a staple in my medicine cabinet for years.

When I had a bad sinus infection recently, nothing really helped so I reached for the old faithful Vicks. I had tried Sinutab , Mucinex, etc and had some relief but Vicks did the trick .

I boiled a spoonful in water and inhaled the fumes, much like a vaporizer . I smeared a little on my chest and a dab under my nose to open my poor sweollen nasal passages . I know some people have a sensitivity to the camphor so  I say a word of caution here but it has never bothered my sensitive , Irish skin so ....

When you wake up , you will be able to breathe easier and your sinsues will feel much better .

I recently read that putting Vicks on the soles of your feet , then covering with sicks and sleeping through the night , can bring a world of relief . I personally did not try this yet, but I think I will the next time I get a stuffed up head .
