Vicks Nyquil Multi Symptom Cold & Flu Relief Review

I have a terrible head cold.  Last night I could barely even breath as my sinuses are both stuffed, and I have a runny nose.  I knew I would have trouble sleeping last night so it was off to the cabinet to grab the Vick's Nyquil.

Vicks NyQuil has Acetaminophen for your aches and fever. Dextromethorphan for cough suppressing, and doxylamine for sneezing, and runny nose. Vicks NiQuil also contains 10% alcohol, which I am pretty sure is what help knock you out and get you to sleep. Each tablespoon of NyQuil also contains 17 mg of sodium so you need to keep that in mind as well if you have problems with sodium.

Vicks NyQuil comes in comes in a 6 fluid ounce bottle. It is all sealed up nice and tight with a safety covering, that covers the top of the bottle and the little measuring cup that sits on top of it. The measuring cup is for your convenience, so you don't have to get a spoon or try and measure it with something else. Adult should take 2 tablespoons every 6 hours. You should not exceed more than 4 doses per 24 hours. You may be wondering how 6 hours is going to work well when you need 8 hours of sleep, but I can tell you from my experience that once I am knocked out from NyQuil I usually stay out until it is time to get up.

Nyqui is said to help the following symptoms:Cough due to minor throat and bronchial, irritation,Sore Throat, Minor aches and pains,Runny nose and sneezing,Headache,
Fever.

Ingredients

NyQuil contains four primary active ingredients: Acetaminophen (500 mg per 15 ml dose) to relieve pain and fever, Dextromethorphan HBr (15 mg per 15 ml dose) to suppress cough, Doxylamine Succinate (6.25 mg per 15 ml dose) to act as an antihistamine, and Pseudoephedrine HCI (30 mg per 15 ml dose) to act as a nasal decongestant.

Inactive ingredients in NyQuil include alcohol, citric acid, D&C yellow no. 10, FD&C green no. 3, FD&C yellow no. 6, flavor, high fructose corn syrup, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, purified water, saccharin sodium, and sodium citrate.

Warnings: Consult doctor if you have glaucoma, or a chronic illness, or if you are taking medication for depression or any other psychiadric conditions. Do not take with alcohol.

Store Vick's Nyquil at room temperature.

Take 2 tblespoons every 4 to 6 hours.

I took Nyquil last night as I have done many times in the past.  I actually hate the taste of it.and sometimes find it a bit hard to swallow, but I know that it will work so i will suffer through.  Since I am so conjested I can not really taste anything anyways so it was actually not too bad last night.  With in 20 minutes of taking the Nyqui i was sound asleep.  So the Nyquil really helped me to get to sleep and must have opened my sinus's up enough that I coudl breath and relax.

Nyquil always helps.  Usually I feel better the next day, but I am really sick this time, but I if I had not gotten a good sleep I am sure I would have felt a lot worse this morning.
