I love this vaporizer for multiple reasons. It holds a lot of water, which makes it able to last a long time, in my experience it lasted a lot longer than the manual said it could. It has a steam guard, to protect you or anyone else, like a child from burning themselves. It has a nightlight so you don't kick it when getting in or out of bed. The vaporizer works very well, it says it's meant to run for something like 12-14 hours, but i had mine on for over 24 hours and it still had tons of water in it and was running fine. It's lightweight and easy to understand how to use it. You can use either Vicks vapor liquid or Kaz brand liquid inhalant. Both me and my sister used it when we got sick and it definitely fille up her whole room with steam and the inhalent, i believe it helped her a lot. For me i don't believe i had enough inhalant in it after she had used it, but nonetheless it still worked well and was not overpowering.

We've all had colds and know how little fun they are. You can't breath and it's worse when you lay down to go to sleep. At night is when I tend to get the stuffiest and when I do lay down that little tickle in the back of my throat starts and I start to cough, sometimes to the point of uncontrolable. I ended up buying one of these because someone had suggested getting a humidifier and I have always liked the Vicks brand so I chose this version. I have used it many times and love it. It puts that extra bit of moisture back into the air, makes it so much easier for me to breath and takes away that bit of cold that seems to only irritate the back of my throat even more at night when I breath. I could personally do without the night light, but I also know that this is typically used in a childs room. I don't mind having to add a little bit of salt to the water. We have hard water where we live so that's to be expected. I do not like though how it's so hard to get all of the remaining water out of the tank. That's why I didn't give it a five star, but other than that, I love this Vaporizer.

I remember Vicks being a great brand when I was little. When I was sick, my vaporizer never failed to soothe my cold symptoms. Apparently times have changed and the Vicks company is putting their products together cheaply. I wish I still had my old vaporizer because this new one I bought for my daughter does not work. It let off steam for about two days at the most, then it stopped working altogether (and yes, I did keep the top filled with the medicine and the bottom filled with water, and yes, I followed the directions.) I tried cleaning it out and refilling it with new water but to no avail. I'm not sure if I should invest in a more expensive vaporizer and hopefully end up with a better quality product or if I should look for another brand altogether. I still like the vicks brand, mainly the vapor rub and use it on my little girl when ever she gets sick, but I feel completely let down by this company. I expected more from Vicks.

I've always had some sort of humidifier in my house since I can remember. In the winter it especially helped because of the weather being so dry. I got my Vicks vaporizer about 5 years ago or so and it has helped me out quite a bit with dry skin and such. A few years back I had one of the worst head colds of my life. I could barely breath because of how congested I was and my nose was running like a faucet. I took out my vaporizer, turned it on, and put a towel over my head with the vaporizer underneath it with me. It didn't get rid of the stuffy nose but it really helped a lot. Another time it came in handy was when I moved from michigan which is really humid, to colorado which is quite dry. The first few weeds my wife and I were here we both had really dry skin. After a few days we got the vaporizer unpacked and turned it on while we were sleeping. We ended up getting used to the dry climate but the vaporizer helped in the transition.

This is one of those things you don't think you need until you need it. When your child is very sick, coughing, stuffy, this will soothe and reassure you that you are doing all you can do. I used this when I was pregnant and wasn't able to take many over the counter medications. It adds moisture to the air but not only that but the vaporizing scent of menthol. It is so soothing to the nasal passages and lungs, throat, etc. I have had this for 5 years now. I only pull it out twice a year, but when it's needed it's needed. I also recommend using a netipot because I like to use as little medication as possible. I feel good about using this product. It's great quality and a great price. Anyone with babies and toddlers should have one for sure. But don't forget to use it for older kids and adults! It's easy to fill, you can find generic refills for this item which is nice. It's easy to clean and relatively easy to store. It is a little big, but I can keep it on a shelf in my laundry room when not using.

When we first purchased our Vicks Vaporizer, it didn't work. We read the instructions and realized we had forgotten to add salt to the water, so we quickly added the salt and the vaporizer worked like a charm. Within a few nights, the night light didn't work. That really wasn't a big deal, my little boy has a night light in his room already, so we were not counting on this one. The one thing about this vaporizer that really bothers me is how loud it is. It will wake my little boy up at night, and I can hear it across the hall in my room. It scares my little guy every time we have to use it. He says the "growling monster" is going to get him. It does spurt, stutter and growl. Some of the things I do love is how easy this is to use. There is a fill to line on the container and you simply fill it up, throw in a pinch or two of salt, add a little vapro mix, put the top on and plug it in! There are times I do wish it had an on and off switch, but that's okay. I do notice a lot of black dots in the canister the next morning. I'm really not quite sure what they are, but the vaporizer works well and does its job well. It is not very expensive and it is very handy when my little boy has a cold.

I purchased thi sproduct for a family member that has a baby that has breathing problems. This particular product stands out because it keeps the air clean and fresh. I like how it moistern the air so that the baby can breath better. The night light is a good added addition to the product so that one does not have to worry about cutting on a light switch becasue it is built in the unit. I like how the steam is nice and warm and quiet. I have not noticed any problems wih it just yet but if and when it does I will come back and post it here. I like how it lasts longer than most other brands. I have no complaints about this warmer and it can be a great product. It is not expensive and does not tae much to care for it. I am considering and getting one for myself to use when and if I ever catch a cold and im stopped up and hard to breath. I would recommend anyone getting this if they are having any trouble with the air being dry.

Recently, both my daughter and I had a cold. I didn't have much of a problem breathing, but my daughter's nose was really stuffy, especially at night. I didn't want to leave the vaporizer in her room while she slept, because the could get burned if she got close to the steam, so each night, before bed, I gave her a bath. At that time I turned on the vaporizer inside the bathroom so it would really steam up. After the bath i got her dressed inside and we read books for a little while. After that, I put her to bed and she was able to rest and sleep peacefully all throught the night. She did not wake up at all any of the days she was sick because nothing was preventing her from breathing right. I also used it when I had a cold. I put eucaliptus oil in the little compartment and that really helped me. The only con I can think of is it is not easy to clean, but I still think it is worth it and recommend it!

I bought this for my son's room. When the spring and fall comes around he gets his fair share of sinus problems and sinus infections. He has really bad nose bleeds. So the doctor suggested I get one for his room. I bought the vicks brand because of the good reputation. When we started using it, the sinus infection symptoms got better and he had no nose bleeds. Which was awesome because he could finally sleep through the night. However I did not because I would have to refill it during the night at least once. That's really the only problem with this model but it does get the job done. If it makes him feel better I don't mind at all. I really like the night light. It makes it easier to refill with out disrupting my son. The light is a great bonus feature. I have used it my self when I had the flu. It really does ease the symptoms and make it tolerable. I like to replace mine every year because of mold build-up. So the affordable price is awesome!

When my 1 year old son developed a nasty chest cough my wife went in to panic mode. She thought the cough was a sign of serious medical problems and to compound that she was afraid it would disrupt his sleep and make it easier for him to get other, maybe even worse, bugs. She wanted something done, but didn't want to rely on a bunch of medications. My wife thought I was crazy when I suggested a vaporizer, thinking there is no way something so simple and passive could be in any way effective. I don't know if I am partial to the smell of Vicks vapor because I remember it from my childhood, or if I am just a sucker for the commercials I see on TV and on-line, but I got the Vicks Nursery Vaporizer and have loved it. Set up was easy, just fill with water to the indicated line and add salt and vapor solution. The heating element twist into the top and plug in. The smell did not take long to permeate my whole house and even if it did nothing for my son, i knew right away that I would be sleeping better as I felt my sinuses clearing. To my wifes surprise, my son slept blissfully through the night, and in the morning, although his cough remains, it now sounds a lot more broken up and less painful. His nose is running now, which tells me that we have broken up a lot of congestion, and hopefully he will be feeling better soon. In the mean time, I have taken the Vaporizer and emptied what I could from it. It does not empty easily, and its one piece design makes it difficult to really get in and scrub or dry.
