Veuve Clicquot is one my favorite champagne makers. I first had the champagne a few years ago and since I have no desire to drink other champagne. In fact, on a few occassions, I had the option of the $50 Veuve bottle and the $120+ Dom bottle and I took the Veuve every time!
Veuve makes a series of different labels- yellow, orange-- and some are slightly sweeter than others. While I personally tend toward the sweet, I am never disappointed by any of their champagnes. They simply nail it every time. They have a beliver in me.

read full review »Anyone who enjoys the french champagne making method will love this champange. I always keep a bottle on hand for a special occasion. The Napa sparkling wines come close, but there is nothing like the real thing. And if you go to duty free you can get a decent deal. I usually wait for a sale at the wine store and then stock up.
