Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label Champagne Review Summary

Celebrating with some sprakling wine is less expensive with Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label Champagne. This champagne is appreciated by our reviewers for many reasons, among them the great champagne taste that reminds many of a fine French version of the style, the widespread availability, and the relatively low price of this sparkling wine. Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label Champagne offers “Taste, Class, and Quality Without the Price”, is “Crisp, Full Flavored, with a Persistent Sparkle and Complex Nose”, and is “Absolutely Delicious” according to adoring fans. Veuve Clicquot is one my favorite champagne makers. I first had the champagne a few years ago and since I have no desire to drink other champagne. In fact, on a few occassions, I had the option of the $50 Veuve bottle and the $120+ Dom bottle and I took the Veuve every time!

Veuve makes a series of different labels- yellow, orange-- and some are slightly sweeter than others. While I personally tend toward the sweet, I am never disappointed by any of their champagnes. They simply nail it every time. They have a beliver in me.

Veuve Clicquot is full body with crisp and consistent quality. According...

This is not the best but it sure does look and taste that way. I bought a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Yellow label  while I was staying in a hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. I bought the bottle outside of the hotel at a grocery store. I had heard so much about how smoooth and tastey Veuve Clic is while in the grocery store and my first thought was can I afford it? I didn't mention it,  I  just ask one of the sales associates to locate it for me and was surprised to see that the bottle was no more than  fourty or fifty bucks. Thats a bargain considering the price of other brands that are well known.... read full review »

Clicquot's "Yellow Label" is a brut, non-vintage champagne. It is crisp, full flavored, and exhibits consistently high quality. This is is a traditional, classically-styled, dry French Champagne blended from two-thirds black grapes (Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier) for body, contrasted against one-third Chardonnay. "Yellow Label" has a fine persistent sparkle and golden color, with a complex nose of apple, citrus and caramel. On the pallette, expect full, crisp flavors with slightly spicy finish.

Consistently wonderful champagne!

Reference material: Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin is a champagne house in Reims, France and a brand of champagne, easily recognized by its distinctive bright yellow bottle labels. Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot-Muiron, Veuve Clicquot (pronounced vuhv klee-KOH) played an important role in establishing champagne as the beverage of choice of European nobility and the wealthy bourgeoisie. Situated in Reims, Veuve Clicquot has been part of the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy group of luxury brands since 1987. Among those with champagne tastes, the brand of Veuve Clicquot...

Anyone who enjoys the french champagne making method will love this champange.  I always keep a bottle on hand for a special occasion.  The Napa sparkling wines come close, but there is nothing like the real thing.  And if you go to duty free you can get a decent deal.  I usually wait for a sale at the wine store and then stock up.

You cannot go wrong when purchasing a bottle of Veuve Cliquot Champagne.  Typically a bottle is about $30-$40 which is why I drink it only once a year for NYE.  The taste is dry but not too dry and sweet but not sickly sweet.  It is perfect.   If you are looking to impress a date or your sweetheart's parents this will do the trick.

Veuve Clicquot is one of the better champagnes out there.  It is consistently good, with a creamy, yeasty flavor that all bubblys from the Champagne region are known for.  Some California sparklers are very good, but for some reason they are never as good as Champagne.

This is a great Champagne. If you can find it on sale you can still grab a bottle for less than $40. I would rank this is my top 5 champagnes and it's worth every dollar. You just can't compare a true french champagne to others.
