Verizon Wireless
I have always had issues with my cell phone carriers. Nothing ticks me off more than a dropped call. Apparently where I live, Spring has areas where, no matter how i try, I can't get phone service. One of those areas is my home! For the cost of Sprint service and the crappy phones that they provided, I thought I should at least be able to use it in my own house.
So when my contract was up with Sprint, I moved on to Nextel. Nextel had great coverage in my area, was super popular at the time and it was free to "beep" or use the two-way calling feature (think walkie talkie). The only think I don't like about the walkie talkie feature is other people hearing my business. I really don't want to be sitting in a restaurant having a nice meal and have a friend beep me saying something that no one else needs to hear! NExtel didn't appeal to me (although my husband is still with them).
Can you hear me now?
My next phone carrier of choice was Verizon Wireless. Alot of people had positive things to say about Verizon so I decided, "Why not give it a try"?
I have now been a faithful Verizon Wireless customer for 6 years! I have not had an ounce of trouble with coverage whether I am here at home, across the country or eating lunch on Mackinac Island. I really can't remember a time that I have had a dropped call that was my fault while using Verizon Wireless.
The customer service at my local Verizon Wireless Store in Westland, Michigan is top-notch. They are very helpful, knowledgeable and genuinely considerate, funny people.
With Verizon Wireless, every 2 years your contract is up and you are eligible to receive $50 towards a new phone. It's amazing the difference 2 years makes in technology. I am always excited to see what phone I am going to get it next.
My last visit to the Verizon Wireless Store in Westland, Mi was a month ago. My contract was up and I was ready to get a new phone. My son's Nextel contract (he stuck with Dad) was up and we were looking for some information on the Family plan.
The Customer Service representative was both intuitive and hilariously funny! She explained everything that we needed to know about putting two phones on one plan and even went the extra mile to let me use her personal cell phone since it was the phone that I was interested in. Of course, my son got the infamous "Chocolate" phone that I reviewed earlier.
So, for an extra $9.99 a month, I added my son to my cell plan, we had to brand new cell phones and we left the Verizon Wireless store, happy as pie! Not to mention that Verizon to Verizon phone calls are free and don't count towards your minutes!
When I have questions about my minutes, messages, etc. I contact the customer service number programmed in my phone. The representatives are always very helpful, never try to sell me extra service or accessories. One time I went over in my minutes and had an extra $24 dollars added to my bill. I called customer service and they waived my extra minutes fee for me since I was such a valuable customers.
Now THAT'S what I call CUSTOMER SERVICE!
