The Verizon Wireless Broadband is a good way to have internet access almost anywhere you can get a mobile phone signal.  It is faster in urban areas, but I have been able to check e-mail in some fairly remote areas. The speed, condiered broadband, is not as fast as Cable or DSL, but a big jump from dialup.
