I recently upgraded form my ancient Razr V3m to the Voyager and am quite pleased!  I text a lot (50-100 messages per day) and so I was looking for a phone with a large screen and a full QWERTY keyboard.  The touchscreen interface was just a cool bonus!  Ironically, I find myself using the virtual T9 keypad much more than the "real" keyboard for most of my texting.

Since I purchased this phone as an upgrade, and after it has been on the market for a year, I got a GREAT deal.  In fact, when all the discounts and instant rebates were done, I got the phone for FREE.  That said, I would have gladly paid between $100-150 for the features that this phone provides.

What I like:

- Touchscreen.  Maybe this is a novelty, but after using the phone for almost 2 months, it's still fun!
- Large screens.  Both the external and internal screens are big and crisp.
- Real QWERTY keyboard.  Although I only use it when the T9 feature won't recognize a word.
- Haptic feedback.  The screen vibrates as you touch it, providing refreshing feedback.
- VZ Navigator.  Forget spending $200 for a GPS navigation unit and $70-100 per year for updates.  I use the VZ Navigator as needed, for $2.99/day and it's always current.
-Verizon Wireless service and customer support.  Top notch coverage and the best customer service in the business.

What I dislike:

- Hard to see the external screen in bright light.  Outside on a sunny day, the screen is a bit hard to see.
- T9 isn't very smart.  The T9 feature (VZW calls this "Word" on this model) doesn't learn as well as I'd like.  I find myself using the internal keyboard sometimes.
- Mobile TV.  Perhaps some find this useful, but I don't see value in watching limited shows for $10 a month.
- Too many features.  Is this really a con?  I dunno.  As is typical with gadgets, they crammed this phone full of features to the point where it's complicated.  If you crave style and simpliciy, choose the iPhone.

To summarize, this is certainly no iPhone clone, nor an iPhone killer.  But, it's a fantastic multimedia device on the best wireless network around.  In my pre-purchase testing, it performed better than the Samsung Glyde and the LG Dare, which are the 2 closest competitors on VZW.
