I have had Verizon FIOS since January. The service is very fast. I only have the lowest tier of service and I've noticed quite an improvement over DSL, but beware when you have a problem because you probably will. I am writing this review from work because my home internet connection and phone have been out of order for 2 days with no idea of when it will be fixed.
When I called Verizon to report the problem, I was unable to speak to a person so I ended up creating a repair request with the automated phone system. The automated system informed me that Verizon intended to have my repair completed by Noon the next day. Noon came and went with no contact from Verizon. At 1:30PM, I called Verizon the automated system hiccupped and directed me to a real person who could only tell me that I'm still scheduled for Noon repair and that they must be running late! This company doesn't care about customer service. This is a horrible situation but would be so much more palatable if someone would call and say "Sorry about your issue but we're working on it. We expect to have it fixed for you by xxx."
