Most HelpfulSince the day I received the 3 in 1 package I have had nothing but problems with my tv. It scrambles, loses sound and freezes. I have made several attempts to email verizon, none have been answered. If you try to call their technical support you have to wait on the phone for at least an hour before...
read full review »I recently switched to Fios from Time Warner. Although the picture is good ... so was Time Warner ... no difference! HOWEVER, the DVR went out the first month and I had to call for service. After a VERY long wait ... I was on the phone with them for over one hour when they decided my DVR was indeed not working (which I told them within the first two minutes of our conversation).... so they said a tech would come between 8AM-Noon the following day When he didn't show up I called and they had no record of him coming for a morning appointment ... but said he would be there btween noon and 4PM ...He...

This has been by far the worst experience I've had! My install was scheduled for 12/05/08 and took place on 12/22/08.
1. First the salesman sold me a package that does not exist
2. I was told my bill would be around $80.00 and month and my first bill was $196.44 for 41 days!
3. when I contacted customer service, they said they would make the corrections and backdate my bill.
The new bill arrived for the same amount of $196.44.
4. I called billing this time and the woman could not help me. I asked for her supervisor and...

A Verizon contractor did the installation in a hurry and reused most of the wiring from my old cable system. He left without giving me any instructions or providing the manuals for the DVR boxes. Customer service was originally fairly good and they quickly provided the missing manuals and walked me through some of the setup. Customer sevice has been downhill ever since. It became particularly bad after I dropped my Verizon phone service and changed to Vonage. It takes at least 15 minutes to go through...
read full review »This review is for Verizon Fios Television. I have this as part of the triple play from Verizon. Very few problems (if any) with the quality of the picture, although just a couple times (in almost two years) I have noticed the picture will freeze on some channels and it takes a while to come back. Also one of the HD channels seems to skip a bit, but the normal channel is fine, so that may well be the channel itself and not Fios. My biggest complaint is how much I have to pay, even though I have a pretty good deal with the triple play. Actually, my MUCH bigger complaint is the HUGE HASSLE...
read full review »Verizon Fios would be a great product if only you could get it installed when they promise to.
If you are lucky enough to get it installed and decide to make any chances at all, even it is as simple as adding a new dvr or change your address (due to a 911 or the post office changes your zip) your service may be disconnected. Yes that's right, the service was disconnected to correct these changes (two seperate occurances) and it took several hours to get the service back on.
Oh and also the when one dvr was returned because two were no longer affordable, the bill still showed the second dvr for...

Once it was up and running, all went well until 5 months later when the box in the living room went out. They did replace it after 2 weeks. Later, we bought a house about 3 miles away, and moved services to the house. Once they installed services, we consistently had problems with the screen "tiling" as they called it. Theres was something about pixeling as well. They came out at least 15 times over the course of 6 months, and we finally said enough...
read full review »I have had FiOs TV service for over a year and it's been great. Hardly any interruptions, any were mostly in the middle of the night when they update the programs. I have my television on all night is why I notice. The picture is clear and constant. There are occasionally pixels, but most of the time they are small and not bothersome. There are times that it will 'skip' a brief moment, like a few frames of the show, but that doesn't happen too often either. That is what is most annoying. I haven't had to call service for any repair. There was a problem right after I had it installed, but I don't...
read full review »Verizon FIOS was the best move I ever decided on. Having previously having the local cable provider and being screwed over by them I was very leery about dropping my Satelite TV. upon multiple recommendations from friends I agreed. The worst part is the $400.00 deposit that verizon now requires. The picure quality is awesome especially for our HD TV but just as well on the regular set. There are more channels than we had even with satellite and the movie channels are never ending. they price guareentee for two years was a sincher and the free camcorder, which arrived earlier than we expected...
read full review »I have had Verizon Fios TV service for a few weeks now and I am very pleased. There are plenty of channels, a great on demand menu and plenty of perks. I really like the universal backlit remote that comes standard and the boxes are really simple to use and program. I especially like the HDTV service and the DVR that is now programmable remotely on any computer anywhere! I think they give you lots for the price you pay, especially if you get the bundle which locks in your rate for two years and qualifies you for a cash rebate. I wasn't thrilled about the fact that you have to pay for each additional...
read full review »We recently signed up with Verizon Fios triple play service. So far the cable service is ok, but the DVR is ridiculously bad. Unless you have specified to record a program you can't rewind. The quality of recordings is not consistently good. Often blips or breakdowns in the recording. Sometimes when watching a recorded program it will start fast forwarding and we can't stop it. Like I said, it is ridiculously bad. We had Tivo before and I suspect when our contract is up we will go back to Tivo.
