Verizon - FiOS Cable Service Review

This review is for Verizon Fios Television.  I have this as part of the triple play from Verizon.  Very few problems (if any) with the quality of the picture, although just a couple times (in almost two years) I have noticed the picture will freeze on some channels and it takes a while to come back.  Also one of the HD channels seems to skip a bit, but the normal channel is fine, so that may well be the channel itself and not Fios.  My biggest complaint is how much I have to pay, even though I have a pretty good deal with the triple play.  Actually, my MUCH bigger complaint is the HUGE HASSLE in getting it installed.  I ordered over the phone through a vendor (didn't know that at the time) and the day of the install no one shows up.  I spend at least four hours using my cell phone minutes trying to figure out what went wrong.  They reschedule the install.  Again, no one shows up.  Again, I'm upset.  The reschedule.  This time I call them the day before, and sure enough, they didn't have it on the schedule, but they work it in and I finally get everything set up.  Needless to say, I spent a ton of cell phone minutes and time off work just to get it set up.  Then I spent hours with customer service, finally getting a direct number to a higher-up, and ultimately got a very generous monetary credit to my account for all the trouble.  To their credit, they took care of the problem (in the form of free service for a while) but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.  I can recommend it only because it is a very good picture, and really works quite well, and only because I have to assume my horror story doesn't happen to most people.
