This is my favorite allergy medicine

I am allergic to quite a few things such as pollen, mold, cats, and dust. I am usually bad in the Spring but suffer year round. I carry Veramyst with me at all times. It fits nicely in my pocketbook and is easy to find. I find that it really helps to alleviate my symptoms when I am having an allergy attack of non-stop sneezing. On a side note, I don't like to use medicine on a regular basis and will only use it if it is absolutely necessary. I find that Veramyst works almost immediately and doesn't give me any negative side effects. Other allergy medicines did not work so well for me. They either didn't work at all or gave me an awful reaction or had a terrible after taste that made me vomit. Veramyst does not have a bad taste, in fact I don't even taste it all. If you suffer from allergies, definitely give it a try. It has helped to alleviate my symptoms of sneezing and itchy, red eyes.

Just started using it, however, it seems to be helping.

My allergist gave me a sample to try and it seems to be helping my allergy symptoms. However, I am having a big problem using my prescription insurance to fill it. I was told the medication needs to be authorized before the pharmacy can fill it. To get the authorization, my Dr. has to call my ins. and explain why I need this medication and why I cannot use another similar medication. I was told this medication is very expensive and my co-pay is the highest in my tiers. I was told I should ask my Dr. to prescribe an alternate medication. The directions are to use 2 (two) sprays in each nostril once a day. There is only 30 sprays in it so that means it will only last one week. I'm not sure it is worth the hassle I am going through to get it filled or the expense. The product does seem to work well but I have only been using it about a month.

Best Allergy Spray EVER

5

I have allergies year round. So does my daughter. Veramyst is what the allergist reccomended for both of us. It is the first one that ever really worked for me. It helps keep me from being so stuffed up that I cannot breath. It also has helped keep my sinuses from getting completely clogged and infected. Since I started Veramyst, I have had fewer sinus infections and chest infections. In fact (knock on wood) I haven't had bronchitis since I started treating with Veramyst. My daughter sees a huge ammount of relief too. When she misses a dose it is completely obvious. She gets all sniffly and always gets a cough if she misses her allergy medicine. Neither of us has experienced any side effects, either. She hates the taste in the back of her mouth after a spray - but that is the same no matter what product we have tried. Without a doubt, I recommend Veramyst. They even give real samples to my allergist so that when I did not have health insurance, he was able to give me samples that helped me continue to be protected without having to break the bank. Without insurance this stuff is expensive, but totally worth it.

Wow is this how I was suppose to be breathing?

Let me first share that I am a HUGE allergy sufferer. I used to run a huge box of kleenex in a week. I blew my nose constantly first thing when I woke up, during work office hours (I'm sure my collegues were even annoyed at one point before getting used to it), and at home during the evening constantly. And, I would blow my nose right before I go to bed. I used to even wake up middle of the night (3am) to blow my nose (you'll catch me sleeping with some tissues iin my hand while I sleep cause my nose would run). So, i thought there was something wrong with my nose- thinking maybe i needed to surgically remove something cause it was congested. For many years, i've dealt with it. The dealbreaker was when I had to go see an Immunologist because I was suffering from heavy ciggerate smoke and other stuff from my boyfriends house (his father is a heavy cigar smoker), and I wanted to get a scratch test to see what else I was allergic too. It's october now, and I'm a huge autum allergy sufferer. So, the doctor perscribed me Veramyst. After using veramyst, it worked instantly, but I don't think I noticed my clear breathing through my nose till the second or third day. My use of tissues decreased tremendously throughout the day and I don't worry about having a tissue around in the middle of the night. My sister even mentioned how she hasn't heard me blow my nose in the morning or before going to bed lately.. haha. I was told to spray once in each nostril once a day. So, I spray it every morning before going to work. It's been almost a week now since using it, and it's amazing! I haven't had any side effects yet- and hopefully, I won't ever get them either. If you're like me- who didn't like sticking anything up my nose, especially spraying some mist. Don't be afraid and give it a shot. It's not bad at all :).

Veramyst is the best nasal allergy spray out there

Veramyst, otherwise known generically as Fluticasone Furoate, is a newer prescription nasal allergy spray on the market.  I am an NP and prescribe this drug daily. Additionally, I use it daily.  One spray to each nostril works pretty well per day for me but adults can go up to 2 sprays/day -- at once or divided twice per day.  It's approved for kids older than 2 and is on the formulary for most insurances.  GlaxoSmithKline also provides samples and coupons to most physicians and nurse practitioners so don't forget to ask at your next visit.  I love it because it works where you need it the most -- locally at the nose.  Also, it is the only nasal allergy spray approved by the FDA for eye allergy symptoms such as watery, itchy eyes.  I think it works better than my daily allergy pill.  Only real side effects would be a bloody nose since it is a nasal steroid but I've never had a problem.

Veramyst Helps Me Breath, But Also Makes My Nose Bleed

On my last visit to an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor for swollen lymph nodes, she asked my how I was doing with my allergies.  I told her that I was still having trouble with sinus congestion and the allergy medication taken by itself just wasn't doing the job.  She gave me a sample bottle of **Veramyst **and told me to try it out. **Veramyst Nasal Spray** **Veramyst Nasal Spray **is actually fluicasone furoate in a special pump spray bottle.  It administers 27.5 mcg of medication in each spray. Before using this product, it has to be primed.  According to the instructions included in the box, you can prime the medication by releasing 6 test sprays into the air.  This seems like a lot and a waste of medication.  The bottle I received only held 30 sprays so I stopped at 2 pumps when priming since the medication was flowing freely.  Instructions also state to shake it well before using it each time and to replace the top or cap after each use. Ingredients: Fluticasone furoate, w/wbenzalkonium chloride 0.015%, dextrose anhydrous, edetate disodium, microcrystalline cellulose and carboxymethylcellulose sodium, polysorbate 80, and purified water. Ph. approximately 6. **My Thoughts on VeraMyst** I found that **Veramyst **worked very well for relieving nasal congestion.  It also helped relieve sinus pressure.  I was ready to ask for a prescription for this product when at the end of my 30 day trial period I noticed that my nose was bleeding whenever I sneezed or blew my nose. This has been a common problem I've had in the past whenever I took Sudafed.  I'm not sure what this product retails for, but for now I'm holding off on becoming a regular user of it.  I'll keep it in mind if I need something in the future for sinus congestion and pressure, but it will be a last resort.  I'm giving this product an above average rating because it did work well on relieving sinus congestion and pressure, which is something that is usually hard to cure for me.  As with all medications, keep out of reach of children! Note:  Sample provided by licensed physician.

Veramyst does an ok job

I have tried to use other nasal sprays and cannot because of headaches I get, which do not go away with time. Veramyst is the only one that does not give me headaches.  I get sick with allergies 2-4 times per year, which is totally annoying because I don't feel good for a few days, I am very congested, and very tired.  I am a regular swimmer and I have swimmers sinusitis so using a drug like this is very helpful.

GlaxoSmithKline Veramyst Nasal Spray is simply amazing stuff.  I have very severe allergies and am constantly stuffed up.  My doctor prescribed GlaxoSmithKline Veramyst Nasal Spray for me.  It dries up my congestion and prevents me from sneezing all day!  I wish it would come down in price at the pharmacy, but it is worth every cent!  If I forget my GlaxoSmithKline Veramyst Nasal Spray I am running to the store to try to find something comparable, but can never find anything that works as well.  I wish I had found GlaxoSmithKline Veramyst Nasal Spray sooner in life.  GlaxoSmithKline Veramyst Nasal Spray isn't thick like afrin, and doesn't have that "water up your nose" feeling of other nasal sprays.  The bottle is designed with the pump on the side, with metered dosages, which all makes for ease of use.  The bottle is small enough you can travel with it if you would like to also.  I love my GlaxoSmithKline Veramyst Nasal Spray and will continue to use it for years to come!
