My husband and I purchased the Vera Wang Serta mattress last year in August and for the first 2 months it was nice. It has quickly gone down hill from there. I have had lower back pain problems in the past and now I also have middle back problems. It slopes and sags to my hips and it also is sagging to the middle. The edges of the bed are so firm I feel like I am sleeping in a box.
Last night I put a blanket under my waist/hips to get them back up and supported, it did seem to help. I have also started using a pillow propped up beside me to keep me from rolling to the center. But it is frustrating to think that I have to modify my new $1500+ mattress with a blanket to get a decent nights sleep.
We bought this mattress with the attitude that you get what you pay for. We didn't look at prices when we were looking for a mattress. We wanted what felt good and we didn't want the cost to get in the way. I am afraid to think of what I might have to pay for a good nights sleep. I would just like to get out of bed in the morning and not be so stiff that it takes an hour for me to loosen up. Here's a theory...are chiropractors and bed designers in cahoots together? At the rate i'm going my chiropractor is going to retire off me and i"ll never get a comfortable bed.
