Venta Venta Sonic VS205 Ultrasonic Humidifier —

I've had this humidifier since the beginning of the winter season. This is my 3rd model of humidifiers (the last 2 were too much of a pain to keep clean). So far, I have found this one to be great. I keep it next to my bed at night and wake up with far less of a sinus headache than I ever have before. We have forced hot air heating, so I am always very dry and have headaches from it. So far, this model has been wonderful!

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I find that in the dead of winter when the heat is constantly on and it's really dry, I have to fill it almost every 2 days. However, the plus side of that, is that the water doesn't sit around for very long and cleaning this is a breeze! I get none of the gooky buildup that I got on the last 2 models.

I like that I can see the steam coming out too, and that I can control how much it lets out at a time. The "warm" air, however, is not "warm" as I was expecting, but when you change it to "cold" air, you can definately tell the difference.

I do find though, that leaving it close to the bed, if the humidity control is set high enough, i wake up with wet sheets and blankets, so beware of that and don't put it near really nice furniture or other things that shouldn't get damp (which the instructions do say anyhow).

Overall, I would certainly recommend this model, especially for anyone who suffers severe allergies and dryness in the winter time.
