We bought this ultra sonic unit for use in our master bedroom since it seemed it would give better coverage than our smaller unit in such a big room. Ultra sonic distribution is finer and the tank lasts longer because the mist comes out with a lot more control and a lot smaller particles than cheaper units than don't have the ultra sonic feature. We love this unit for this particular ability that it has. Output Volume A tank can last us two nights with average output or a full night with NO problems (and no refills needed) even on heavy output. We like this as an extra unit in a child's bedroom if we want to run it all hours of the day. We don't have to fill it up very often. Performance It works very well. We like the fine misting ability. We like the larger tanks and amount of volume it will hold. You can also put additives into your water for any type of health benefits you're looking for. Ease of Cleaning Not as easy to clean as more basic models that have openings that allow you to fit your whole hand inside to wipe all the surfaces. For this unit, where I can't do that, we tend to let the filled unit soak with a dilute bleach solution for a few hours to make sure we're killing any bad bacteria or mold that might be growing inside whenever we use it frequently. Durability So far, so good. We've been using it almost continually since before winter to counteract the dry air our house has in winter due to a wood stove. Design Okay and nice to look at.

I purchased the Venta Sonic VS205 Ultrasonic Humidifier for my living room. This device is very small and it takes up very little space on my end table. I filled the tank up by flipping it upside down and removing the filter, which could be annoying to some, but it's no big deal to me. My first impressions of this device is that it is very quiet. It's so quiet to the point it didn't seem like it was even on. This device lets out a nice cool mist but it doesn't travel too far. This device greatly improved my airways after a couple of minutes. My nostrils were no longer dry and I didn't have a single nose bleed. Besides what this device did for my sinusitis it really improved the feel of my skin. My skin stayed hydrated all day and I only had to apply a moisturizer once. I definitely would recommend the Venta Sonic VS205 Ultrasonic Humidifier to anyone looking for a device to help with dry skin, nose bleeds, and sinus problems.

Overall I really like my venta sonic VS206 ultrasonic humidifier. I think it does a great job, but I should have read the manual because sometimes I have trouble with the settings. It's very helpful when there are stuffy noses at my house. Output Volume The output volume of this venta sonic humifier is perfect! It humidifies my children's room as well as the hallway, and even into the master bedroom and living room some too. There's alomst like a haze in the house because it works so well. Performance I love how effective my humidifier is. I also love that it has an automatic shutoff for when the water runs out or the air is adequately humidified. Ease of Cleaning FOr the most part it's easy to clean, except for some of the crevasses that are hard to get into. Durability My humidifier is in great shape, and is of great quality. I don't foresee any problems with it breaking or not working anytime soon. Design I like the performance, but I sometimes have trouble with the settings and don't know how many times I should push the buttons to achieve the humidity I want. I also wish that there wasn't a detachable spout because one of these days my children are going to lose it.

If you have asthma you need a humidifier to add moisture to the air. This humidifier was recommended to me by a close friend and I'm so glad I went with this one. It is easy to fill and clean, runs quietly and really seems to make it easier to breathe. I live in Ohio and we have long cold winters. It gets really dry inside and I have noticed a big difference with this humidifier.

The Venta Sonic Humidifier is a piece of junk! It is over priced and doesn't do its job. It spits out lot of smoke or moisture but beware don't fall for it. It is very hard to clean too. It makes some clicking noise in the middle of the night which is absolutely annoying. It is a bit of pain filling the water inside it. You need to turn the tank upside down to fill water.The design of the tank could have been better! You have to use your bathtub to fill water not your sink. You gotta be strong to carry it around after filling water.This humidifier will lasts only one winter. I wouldn't recommend this product to any one. Also, Venta has the worst customer service!

We live in a very dry climate and it seems a humidifier in our bedroom is almost necessary, especially with my husband's ongoing sinus condition.  We went through several other humidifiers that stopped working before this Venta humidifier was recommended to us by Bed, Bath & Beyond.  We have had it over a year and not had one problems with it.  It has a cool and warm setting on it which is a nice feature.  It is also very easy to maintain and we use it almost every night, especially when it is especially dry.  We would highly recommend this humidifier to anyone who wants a high quality humidifier that has a great output of humidity for whatever reason.  We are so happy we learned about this brand and that we don't have to keep returning defective humidifiers any longer.  Although this brand is not as well known as some others out there, we believe that once people learn just how good this brand is, that will soon change.

I've had this humidifier since the beginning of the winter season.  This is my 3rd model of humidifiers (the last 2 were too much of a pain to keep clean).  So far, I have found this one to be great.  I keep it next to my bed at night and wake up with far less of a sinus headache than I ever have before.  We have forced hot air heating, so I am always very dry and have headaches from it.  So far, this model has been wonderful!  The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I find that in the dead of winter when the heat is constantly on and it's really dry, I have to fill it almost every 2 days.  However, the plus side of that, is that the water doesn't sit around for very long and cleaning this is a breeze!  I get none of the gooky buildup that I got on the last 2 models.  I like that I can see the steam coming out too, and that I can control how much it lets out at a time.  The "warm" air, however, is not "warm" as I was expecting, but when you change it to "cold" air, you can definately tell the difference.  I do find though, that leaving it close to the bed, if the humidity control is set high enough, i wake up with wet sheets and blankets, so beware of that and don't put it near really nice furniture or other things that shouldn't get damp (which the instructions do say anyhow).  Overall, I would certainly recommend this model, especially for anyone who suffers severe allergies and dryness in the winter time.
