Beautiful, but crowded

My husband and I were married just outside of Venice in Verona, Italy.  I adore Venice - the shopping, food, and sight-seeing are amazing.  I am often frustrated by how crowded it is, though, even in the "off-season."  Also, I am orientation-challenged, and it is very easy to get lost.  Be prepared to meander!
