My doctor thinks Vemma is da bomb. He told me all about Vemma when I was in for my usual "my head is stopped up and I feel like crap" appointment. Of course, I had a sinus infection and fluid on my ears as well as flat failing the darn cholesterol and tri levels tests.
It seems Vemma cures and fixes any and all ills. This concerns me, as I know of very few things that are so multi-purpose. But, OK. Mabye this magic health juice which is an antioxident liquid like a super powered multi-vitamin is the magic bullet.
The not-so-secret ingredient in Vemma is mangosteen. That's a fruit. It's Asian, and I've sure not seen it sold around here. Then there's aloe vera, green tea, and vitamins.
I read up on Vemma, and I dont think it would do any damage. You know that "first do no harm" thing in medicine. I'd seriously doubt that Vemma would do you any damage.
This stuff runs about $70 a month, so that was a kicker. I had to give that some thought. Sevently dollars is a darn good time in the South, so I hated to drink that in fruit magic if it was just smoke and mirrors.
As soon as I signed up to get this Vemma juice to my door once per month, then the emails and calls started. It seems that the idea is to sell the juice to others so that you get your Vemma for free or even make money off others. There is a reason I did not sign up for Amway and a reason I would much rather go buy Magic Juice than sell Magic Juice.
I gave Vemma a try for two months. Then life got wild, and my boxes backed up. I am 6 bottles behind (like sitting on my cabinet), so I had to tell them to cease and desist. Six bottles would be three months worth. Yeah. I should have yelled "uncle" sooner. LIke I said, it was a rough few months.
I don't think Vemma did me bad in any way healthwise. On the other hand, I didn't have any more energy than usual and did not feel any better. Obviously I would have kept drinking it and not let my bottles back up if it had been the miracle claimed. Drinking the shot glass of Vemma every day just became one more thing to do - and one that I could skip and not feel too bad about other than the money spent on it.
The thing that left a bad taste in my mouth is all that push to go sell this to family and friends. I didn't even like to sell Girl Scout Cookies. I sure do not want to sell snake oil. Well, maybe it does work wonders for some. Good that. But, I'd say that if this was such a great product, then they ought to put it in stores and sell it like normal products. I really hate pyramid selling, and that is what it is with Vemma.
I did cancel my order with those six bottles sitting there reminding me that I needed to do something. Now I get email about how my site at Vemma may be cancelled and that my sales perks may go down the drain. They sent me a check for $4 (like a sales commission - on my own order I suppose) the first month I paid out $70 for this juice and then all that email and those automated phone calls, but I was not looking to be a salesperson. Maybe they didn't notice that I did not push this off on my peeps. Well, they probably did but hoped I would get with the program.
If you Google Vemma, you will see that the hits are mostly about making a living off selling Vemma. I can tell you that I did not sell any and did not try to sell any. I was hoping for a good vitamin supplement that meant more energy and better health. If I felt any better, I could not tell. And, I was really annoyed about all that email and all those calls pushing me to sell Vemma. I did not know I signed up for all that.
