I have started vegetables from seed for 35 years now. I can tell you that vegetable seed are the most reliable seed there is to get started. I plant a garden every spring and always have a wonderful crop of delicious vegetables. I plant from seed: watermelon, yellow squash, zucchini, spinach, cowpeas, green beans, lima beans, radish, cantalope, peppers of every variety, kale, tomato, carrot, corn, (I may have forgotten some). Times, they are a-changing.  Used to be, you local feed store had all the vegetable seedling plants you could want.  They also had biddies, for raising your own chickens.  You can't find the biddies there any more, and it's getting to be that you can't find the seedling plants there either. — Stores like Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's all offer a small variety of vegetable seedlings--every type of tomato under the sun, peppers and others.  But, have you tried to find collard greens seedlings lately? — So, if you plan a vegetable garden, start early because… read full review »
