Works for plunging styles but the girls feel lonely so far apart

3 star rating

a lingerie lover, a creature of comfort, liking a good fitting bra, into trying new things, fun loving, a believer in accentuating the positive, super body conscious
Pros

inexpensive, true to size, wire doesn't dig in, perfect for plunging styles, comes in 4 colors, looks decent under clingy tops

Cons
separates too much, support not great for larger busts, no added volume, not much lift, barely any cleavage

Quick View: I am a bit of a bra snob. I expect my bras to fit well, have good support, give me a great looking silhouette and, most of all, be comfortable. I really am not brand loyal and will wear cheaper brands and well as pricey ones ifd they give me what I want. This bra was a "necessary purchase" in that I needed a plunge bra right away and had little time to choose. It is OK but not as flattering as I would like.

My Take on the Vassarette Real Sexy Satin Plunge Push-Up Bra

I must have at least 10 plunge bras but of course when I needed one, I couldn't find the right one. I was on my way to an event and put on my new designer cowl neck top and the cowl part plunged too far in the middle for me to wear a regular bra. I needed a deeply plunging one so I went into my big ole bin of bras and started searching. I gave up and went to KMart, rushed in, saw the Vassarette Women's Real Sexy Satin Plunge Push-Up Bra and picked my size in nude, and left all within a few minutes.

The bra is a back close type with very thin adjustable straps. The cups have light foam but are not actually padded. This bra is an underwire one with wrapped wires that don't dig in. The bra fits true to size but it gets weird in the middle. Because it is a deeply plunging, it tends to separate the girls too much. While the plunge was perfect for the low cowl neck top, it didn't add lift or volume but that was OK for the top I was wearing.

The issue was that the separation was too much for my frame. Usually bras push the breasts together for cleavage but the Vassarette Real Sexy Satin Plunge Push-Up Bra does the opposite. For deeply plunging styles, this bra does work. It isn't super flattering and doesn't add size or volume but it doesn't look horrible under clothes. For under $11.00, this bra got me through the event with no embarrassing bra peekage but I probably won't wear it very often. I have a plunging bra that is somewhat similar (somewhere) that gives me more lift and support and doesn't make my girls look like they're heading for my armpits.

My Viewpoint

The Vassarette Real Sexy Satin Plunge Push-Up Bra is priced right and is a decent bra for those times when you're wearing a deep V neck of other low cut styles. It does support some and gives ample coverage to small to medium sized busts. But because of the way it is made, it tends to separate too much for my liking. It's really just a personal preference. I give it 3 stars and do recommend it if you don't mind the issues I brought up. It's cheap but not really cheaply made and a good value.

It's another thing that I know can be made to perfection but I have yet to find one that is perfect. Some have come close but none that I own are perfect. I'm still searching.

It's so hard finding a great bra. There's always something I don't like!
