A few drops go a long way, it can make you look oiled up. To prevent looking oily I add a few drops to whatever lotion/moisturizer I'm applying. Gives great long lasting results.

If I use a small amount, it can make my skin glow. If I use just a little too much, I look like an oily mess. It can be overdone really easily and you have to be very careful when applying. It is a gel and feels really good when you apply it in the summer time because it is cold. It relieves my skin from feeling dry to feeling hydrated and silky soft. It smells really good, just like any classic cocoa butter scent. It goes really great with vanilla-scented stuff. However, this broke me out and gave me bumps on my shoulders. I did not get any bumps or acne on anywhere else that I applied it (arms, legs, etc.). I could not wear a tank top for a while though because it was red and gross looking. If I wear it when I am sweating it can get a little sticky and uncomfortable. It also transferred onto my leggings and made some parts darker than others, I guess where I had applied too much. It does seem to increase the stretch in your skin though and relieves itching.

While I sometimes have a hard time trapping moisture into my dry skin (especially after braving numerous Midwest winters), the Vaseline Cocoa Butter gel has been a lifesaver. Not only is it incredibly moisturizing and skin softening, but it also has an incredible, lightly sweet scent with the Cocoa Butter formula. Of course, with this product being so fabulous, there'd have to be a down side (very small, of course), but a down side nonetheless. This product is definitely a bit messy, you really need to be careful while applying and ensure you give it some time to absorb, as well, before dressing. You also want to make sure that the cap is completely sealed (I know it sounds obvious, but the cap is one of those tricky ones that appears to be sealed, while it in fact, isn't.) Other than being slightly messy and somewhat annoying to clean up, I'd definitely say the pros outweigh the cons, especially if you're a bit more on the parched side. Great find! Scent I love the Cocoa Butter scent, it's light and slightly sweet, but neutral enough to wear with any other fragrance you've already applied, as well. Absorption This product absorbs into dry skin very well, my only piece of advice, however, is to let it set in before getting dressed, as this product can be a bit messy. Effectiveness This gel is super effective in terms of hydration, again just slightly messy. If you can deal with that, however, this is a major score!

This gel body oil is a bit of a new thing to me, but I do like it more than regular body oil or just lotion. It is much less messy than liquid body oil and much more easy to apply. I find that body oil like this provides a deeper moisture level than lotion. It takes a bit longer to soak in, so I use it at night. I do like to put it on my arms and chest before I go out because it leaves a sexy glow on your skin. The scent is nice and light. It feels great on freshly shaved legs. It does not take much to cover your whole body, so although it is small, the bottle lasts a long time. It is a little bit pricey, but it is worth it because it does last a long time. I would caution anyone who is prone to chest or back acne to not over-do it with this oil. It can make you break out in little pimples because it is an oil. It does not substitute for normal lotion all of the time, but is good to have around for the winter when you are really dry or when you need a quick glow on your legs or arms before going out. In addition, be careful if you are already dressed because it will leave oily spots on silky fabrics if its not soaked in enough when touched. Unlike some lotions, it soaks in all the way. You won't feel it again on your skin when you get in the shower.

I have very dry winter skin and this product just sits on top of my skin do the point that I have to wipe the product off or get grease stains and leave oil traces everywhere that I touch. Its great if you can just put it on a be naked for a long while, it good also be good for a massage. I would not recommend if you have to get dressed right after applying to the skin it will ruin your clothing. I bought the product in the summer and was very disappointed that it didn't absorb well, but I figured that was because my skin isn't extremely dry in the summer. I pulled the product out in the winter to see how it worked. The same thing it just sits on top of my skin. I think that the thickness of the product that causes the poor absorption. After using the product, my skin is left very very greasy. Scent This product smells wonderful, but it does smell very cocoa buttery. Absorption Does not absorb into my skin well. Skin is left very greasy. Effectiveness While it gets rid of my ashiness, the product just sits on my skin for over fifteen minutes. Very poor absorption.

This oil has been great for me. I keep it in my bathroom and apply it all over my body after I shower. It has a great smell and leaves my skin feeling smooth. It goes on greasy but absorbs well afterwards. Never had a problem with it rubbing off on clothing, chairs or bed sheets. It's excellent and I would highly recommend it for anyone with dry skin that wants to achieve soft glowing skin.

Upon discovering I was pregnant I headed to the store to determine what I needed to purchase to repel the dreaded stretch marks. I am quite value-conscious so I wanted to spend a little money on something that would be effective and this is what I purchased. This cocoa butter body oil contains a nice combination of Brazilian nut oil and almond oil. The smell is great and it definitely hydrates your skin. My problem is that it never quite soaks into my skin, but remains on the surface as an greasy layer. I actually permanently stained my sheets after going to bed immediately after showering and using this oil. I think it works better to actually drizzle some on your body BEFORE drying off after your shower. Then use your towel to rub it in and soak up the excess. You don't need much and I am still using my bottle after about 10 months. I probably only use it two to three times a week. I never ended up with stretch marks, but I'm not sure can attribute that to this body oil.

Great smelling and easy application.  Lasts for a very long time really liked this body oil gel and not messy either.  This gel is great and is priced reasonable.  You will adore the gel verses a liquid oil it is so nice I really love it during the winter when you get those dry spots on your back and hard to reach places and it is not goey or messy at all.  This product lasts and lasts on mosture you can not go wrong buying this if you need a body gel oil it really is the best.  Packaging is convenient and I totally adore the smell, this to me is a definite buy!!A little goes a long long way so you totally get your money worth!

I have extremely dry skin - especially on my legs. I've usually not be too pleased with the Vaseline lotions because I found they didn't last too long in the "long-lasting hydration" department. It always felt really watery and about forty-five minutes later, my skin would be SUPER-dry and scaly again! But when I was visiting my Mom a couple months ago, she had this Vaseline Cocoa Butter Vitalizing Gel Body Oil, and I forgot to bring my own lotions. So after I took a shower I saw it in the guest bathroom and thought "Alright, I'll give it a try. It can't HURT, right? Better than NO lotion..." Well, I was SO COMPLETELY surprised by the quality and effectiveness of this Vaseline Cocoa Butter Vitalizing Gel Body Oil! I am totally hooked! AND! The best thing is, I totally LOOOVE the scent! It can be a little greasy, so as long as you're not wearing silk that day, you should be fine! It lasted the WHOLE 24 hours! Loved it!
