I have seriously dry skin and am sensitive to most all lotions. I seek this product out. It is hydrates my skin and i just love it.

Vaseline Aloe Fresh Moisturizing Daily Body Gel is great for your skin after a day in the sun. It has a gel like consistency and goes on the skin smoothly. It absorbs into the skin right away and doesn't leave a residue. I also love that it smells so fresh. I especially like to use this product after my skin has a sun burn. It's very soothing and helps moisturize my skin to prevent peeling. This product feels nice and cool when applied to my warm sun burned skin. I don't use this product as an every day moisturizer. I only use it when I have been in the sun. I would recommend this to anyone too keep in their house, especially during the summer months. It's perfect for the days your skin gets too much sun. Scent I love that this product has a very light, clean and fresh scent. Absorption Absorbs into the skin right away and doesn't leave a residue. Effectiveness Works well at soothing and moisturizing skin after a day in the sun.

I love Vaseline but this is not one of my favorite products. I love to try new things and when I saw Vaseline Aloe Fresh Moisturizing Daily Body Gel I had to give it a try. It can have it's purposes but I like a more heavy duty moisturizer. It is relatively inexpensive. Scent The smell of this is neither good or bad. It has a light scent. Absorption This absorbs ok but not like a lotion or cream. It kind of sits and dries on top of the skin also which I can feel. Effectiveness This would be a great moisturizing option for you if you have fairly hydrated skin to begin with. It does have moisturizing and soothing qualities but is not moisturizing enough for dry to extremely dry skin. There is nothing wrong with this product but it is not for me. It is very gentle and doesn't seem to irritate my boy's sensitive skin. The whole family can use it. This would be a good product to use after being in the sun. Heavy lotions and creams trap heat in the skin making skin that has been exposed to sun too long feel worse.

My overall rating for the "Vaseline Aloe Fresh Moisturizing Daily Body Gel" is great but not perfect. It did make my skin really soft, and it smelled wonderful. The one thing I did not enjoy about this product is how sticky and greasy I felt aferwards. I have always had really dry skin on my knees and elbows so I was hoping to find something I enjoyed using that could get rid of the itchy dry flakes without OVER moisturizing my skin. This did exactly that. Scent The scent smells really nice and really clean. It also seems to linger on your skin for a while so you wont have to worry about it fading right away. Absorption It didn't seem to absorb into my skin very well. Which I find to be pretty odd considering my skin is SUPER dry. This aloe gel left a greasy and sticky feel on my skin and I almost couldn't stand it. I would suggest using alot less. Effectiveness Overall this seems to be a good product if you want a nice oily moisturizer. I use it now in the shower for shaving and adding a little extra moisturizer to my body wash. I didn't care for using it as a lotion substitute.

I had very high hopes for this product when I came across it in the drug store and bought it. It's a great idea for a moisturizer being that it's indeed a gel product. But it's formula is a bit wanting and not that great. It didn't really moisturize my skin that well, if only for a few minutes tops, then my skin felt tight, and dry again. Scent The scent is light and quite pleasant. Although it's an artificial smell of aloe, and not an organic smell of aloe, it is still nicely scented. Absorption Vaseline Aloe Fresh Moisturizing Daily Body Gel has an overall very moist feel to it when I first apply it to my skin. It does absorb quickly, but then it makes my skin feel sticky and not at all smooth. Effectiveness I can't say that Vaseline Aloe Fresh Moisturizing Daily Body Gel improved my skin in any way. Nor did it heal or make any difference as far as my skin's dryness. It did not help relieve chaffed or ashy places like my knees , hands or elbows.

I purchased this product after a particularly long day in the sun. I do not normally burn, but on this day I had been working outside and I forgot to refresh my sunscreen. I ended up with a burn and it was a little painful. I ran to the store and found this aloe gel. I did not like the others I had looked at because they smelled terrible. Vaseline's Aloe Fresh Moisturizing Daily Body Gel absorbs quickly into my skin and the aloe refreshes my skin while cooling it after a long day in the heat and sun. It is not specifically made for this purpose, but I think it definitely works better than any other after sun aloe gel on the market. If you are looking for something that absorbs well, smells good, and does not cost a lot of money, this is the aloe gel for you. It is one that I definitely recommend. Absorption I have never used an aloe gel that absorbs as well as this one. It sinks into my skin quickly without leaving a residue on the surface.

I have been a big Vaseline fan for as long as I can remember because their products are usually so great at moisturizing but this Vaseline Aloe Fresh Moisturizing Daily Body Gel is definitely not intended for dry skin. It is a very light gel, with a wonderful scent (the best part of this product), it goes on very easily and is quite refreshing but it does not moisturize at all. After putting it on, my skin feels like it needs lotion to take away the feeling of itchiness due to dry skin within five minutes of applying this Vaseline gel. This product would be great at cooling your skin off after a day in the sun, and possibly at helping relieve sunburn, but it definitely does not do enough to actually moisturize a sun exposed or sunburn skin. Scent The scent is absolutely amazing, and that is my favorite part about this product. Absorption Because it is a gel, it is super light and easy to apply. Your skin will absorb it right away. But then you may feel that you need to apply more very shortly after. Effectiveness Not great at moisturizing dry skin, would be okay to use after a day in the sun to help cool your skin off, but it does not moisturize enough.

I thought that this had seemed like a cool product and that it could help me with moisturizing without having that after lotion feeling. Well this was way worse and I would have preferred the lotion feeling. This stuff in my opinion was sticky and felt like it was melting off of me when I sweat and felt sticky to the touch also which made me feel gross. The scent was alright but it just didn't absorb very well at all and it just was not what I had expected. There is something about Vaseline products that just always feel kind of greasy to me and I end up just wanted to wash it all off. It does however kind of keep your body cooler than lotion would and the scent does last for quite a long time. It is a decent price though but I do prefer to spend more for something that is better. This is not a product that I would personally recommend...it was disappointing to say the least!

I don't think a gel consistency has any business on someones skin. It should really just stick to hair if even that. I do not ever see anyone with this product and from my own personal experience with it, I will never buy it again. Scent The aloe scent is just fine and not overwhelming what so ever. The cocoa butter scent for this product may be more preferable to some. Absorption I thought that a thin lotion was bad, but a gel is probably worse. It is so oily like and almost sticky. It takes forever to rub into your skin. Even after you do it just stays on you for what seems like forever. It will get on everything you touch or rub against for the next 30 minutes to an hour. I would not recommend wearing clothing and going out soon after applying it. It's really more of a mess and a hassle. Effectiveness Vaseline gel did not really do much for my skin. I thought that because of the almost oil like texture it gives that it would work for my skin but it did not. I didn't use it often because it was a pain in the butt to leave on my skin. I can only say that it may work with dry areas that you plan on keeping covered overnight. For example, your feet with socks or hands with fluffy gloves but not for your whole body or large areas. My skin didn't get any smoother or any less dry over time or even after use. Just oily.
