Vanity Fair perhaps may try a little too hard to please everybody. One month it will have well written fascinating articles about pressing present issues; as well as extensively researched articles about "larger-than-life individuals, companies or world events of the past.

review »I am a magazine junkie. Glossy ads and fluffy writing are my guilty pleasure. However, despite my love of Us Weekly and Cosmopolitan, sometimes I crave a little more substance. Vanity Fair is a magazine that I can enjoy reading, and not feel like I have killed any brain cells in doing so.

review »Vanity Fair is a monthly treat filled with up-to-the-minute reports on politics, celebrities, fashion, food, current events and the home. I got hooked on this magazine years ago reading Dominick Dunne - he knows everybody who's anybody and has dinner with them regularly! Their featured political writers are top notch and I look forward to reading Graydon Carter's Editor's Column each and every month (warning - if you're a conservative, you may want to skip this page).
But as the magazine has already started to dwindle in size, their online magazine is equally as stylish and even more up-to-the-minute....
