We have opened Roth IRA with Vanguard over three years ago. We chose S&P 500 that was suggested to us by a financial advisor- and are very happy with it.The funds are low cost, easy to navigate website, and so far with all market being up & down ( mostly down) - minimal losses :) We set up an automatic transfer directly from our bank acount - the amount can be adjusted at any time - feature I love as my 401K choices get locked in for a quarter.
