23 Years Later - Van Halen Is Definitely Worth The Wait !!

Van Halen is back and they ROCK!  Been waiting 23 years for this show and it was well worth the wait.  Diamond Dave came out on stage decked out in sequins, awesome tight pants and a sparkly top hat.  The best front man ever still has his mojo and his vocals.  He salsa danced through "Beautiful Girls", played great guitar on "Ice Cream Man", twirled his microphone stand like a giant baton, and even had bras thrown on stage (just like the old days).  Eddie wailed on his guitars and performed a killer solo.  Eddie even made the entire stadium vibrate at one point... it was an awesome feeling.  Wolfie jammed on bass and totally impressed me.  Alex rocked on drums and cranked out a fantastic solo.  They ended the show in a whirlwind of colorful confetti with Diamond Dave carrying around a giant inflatable microphone.  So get your tickets now.  You don't want to miss this show.  Van Halen Rocks!

In response to Bryan-Carey's comment from Jan 30, 2008 at 8:28AM:

Dude, you missed a killer show. The really noticeable difference was the crowd itself. A whole lot tamer than we used to be. No smoking, no frisbees, no beachballs, no lighters glowing in the darkness. And some people actually brought their kids, but mine stayed with the sitter. But the best part was that the band rocked out and they made me feel 19 again.

hello neighbor -- definitely so by houston terms. would have love to have gone, but live's little joys didn't make it possible. guess there is no doubt as to what the kids in my house get to listen to for music time!

I live in Houston also, and I heard about this concert frequently on the radio. I didn't get the chance to go, but I really wanted to!
