Valspar Paint Review

I am wondering if you prepped the walls by wiping them down first? It makes a huge difference on whether any paint peels or not. Also, if you're going from an oil to latex paint you need to prime it. Every time I have done these steps I've had no problems but if I try to short-cut, I don't like the job.
