This was not the best purchase I ever made. In fact, it was a complete waste of my money. I bought one of these phones a few years back and it quit working on me after about 2 years. I bought this phone because it was a decent price and it was blue. It was a very simple phone it didn't have all those confusing features. Just the right stuff to make a phone call and receive one. I decided to try replacing the batteries at some point but every store I went to didn't seem to carry what I needed. Needless to say, I ended up having to just trash the phone and buy another one. I liked the phone when it was new except for the fact that the volume does not adjust loud enough for me.  After a few months, I couldn't use the speakerphone on the additional handset because it kept cutting out.  Several months later, the additional handset could not be used anymore because it always displayed the message that it is "out of range". It is still in the one year warranty, so I will have to pack it up, ship if off and wait for a replacement that probably won't work… read full review »

I found the VTech - i5808 5.8 GHz 1-Line Cordless Expansion Handset to be a great buy if your not looking for high tech. It is a durable phone with basic features.  One thing I find is that it lasts a long time before going to low battery, but when it does, say bye, bye phone call.  It does last through many drops and it is better than other cheap… read full review »
