Most HelpfulTheVTech V.Smile TV Learning System is a game system for little ones not quite old enough for the big kid video games.
I bought The VTech V.Smile Learning systemfor my daughters about 5 years ago. I was not happy about having to purchase an adapter and extra controller in addition to the system. ...
read full review »The VSmile by VTech is a great way to allow your kids to have video games if you think they are too young for XBox, PlayStation, or Nintendo. It is educational and easy for young kids to play. The controller has big buttons, and you can even switch the side the joystick is on.
The system and the games are not too expensive. It uses batteries and cannot be plugged in so that adds a small amount to the expense, but it makes it easier to move it to different TVs in the house or take it in the car.
I love the v-smile. We have had it for like 2 years or so now. Here's what I loved about it:
This was the smartest thing my Husband and Me could have invested in for our Daughter!
We bought it when she was 4 and now she is 5 and in the Kindergarten. She was not very interested in learning too much and we were very worried because she was facing school soon. We purchased it and immediately she was into it. She had no idea she was learning. She saw herself as a bigger kid in the house and having a video game like her bigger siblings she plays constantly. Through this system she knows all colors, number identification up to 100, she's adding, subtracting, matching things as well as memorizing!...

Perfect for her age! Big joysticks w/ extra big buttons that are perfect for Toddler hands! Games are easy to maneuver through and Dora never dies! There is no "Game Over" unless she wants it to be. All her favorite characters have games, such as Dora, Barney, ELmo, The Wiggles and Little Mermaid.
I didn't...

I love the Vteck VSmile Game System! Thats right game system. If you are a parent of a 2yr to 8yr old boy or girl, then you need to get this product. Its a game system, like the Nintendo, Wii, or Xbox. This product offers fun and learning. It's great for kids to learn so many diffrent things at diffrent ages. It offers most of the charactors they love from tv programs they watch. There's no vilence of any kind and no bad language. Being a mother of a 3yr old boy, I knew this was a product that I wanted. I mean what kid doesn't like video games? Specially boys. My son loves his VSmile. He...
read full review »I love the IDEA of this toy. My kids bugged me FOREVER to get them an X-box or Gamecube or something and I just didn't like the idea of my kids sitting on the sofa instead of playing outside...and most of the games have more violence than I want to let into my house. Then I heard of the V.smile. EVERY game is educational...but it still has characters that my older kids won't think are for babies. I mean, the 6 year old boys don't want to play with Dora or Mickey Mouse all the time with the 2 year old sister - but there is stuff that they love as well.
Sadly, it is not very well made. ...
read full review »I would like to give this system a good review...really I would. My boys liked it and it seemed to be good fun and a little educational also. However, we have had such bad experiences with the machine that I just can't give it high marks. Our boys received our first one about two years ago for Christmas from a relative and the boys played with it for about 7 months on and off before it developed a "short" in the on/off button and would only turn on sometimes after you jiggled it a little. Finally it refused to start all together. After a few months without one, our boys talked us into...
read full review »Our son received the V-Tech Smile for his third birthday. He adores playing games on it by himself and with a second controller, he plays with his cusion and his dad and I, too. I am constantly amazed at how much he is learning with these games and how much more coordinated he is with his small motor skills (used to control the joystick and writing pen, etc.)
He thinks he is just playing games with his favorite friends, Thomas the Train, Diego and Friends, Backyardigans, and Ratatouille are his favorites. But I know he is learning because the games are educational. One game taught him the...
