My kids are always trying to take pictures with my camera so I got them this for Christmas last year. Needless to say it was broke in two months! It was nothing they did either. After turning on the screen would be white, you could not hit any of the buttons either. Even before it broke it was a horrible camera, yes I know it is supposed to be for kids but it could at least take decent pictures. Most pictures came out fuzzy and completely out of focus and the memory filled up way to quickly. The battery also went out quickly on it too. My kids were not tough on this camera so I have no clue what went wrong with it, all I know is I will never buy another kid safe camera again. Image Quality Even when I took the pictures you could barely make them out. They were horribly out of focus and blurry. Durability The screen and all functionality of it broke after just two months. All we could get on it was a plain white screen, no buttons would work and there was no way to really fix it.

This camera brings back so many amazing memories of my children taking their first photos with this camera! It is a great camera for toddlers and my little ones enjoyed hours of entertainment with their VTech digital cameras! Image Quality One has to remember that this is a kid's camera and it's main function is not to produce incredibly high quality images. I would say it is adequate. Performance This camera has so many wonderful features! I bought this camera for my son who was two and a half at the time. He had so much fun using this camera. Ease of Use The VTech Kidzoom digital camera is very easy to operate. It has basic controls and is easy for toddlers to hold. Durability This camera is tough!! Seriously, my son dropped his VTech Kidzoom constantly and it never broke. It is perfect for little ones who are so accident prone. Battery Life This camera quickly charges and also has a long battery life. My son used to love bringing his camera on long car rides and it always kept its charge. Portability The VTech Kidzoom camera is one rugged toy that has really stood the test of time! I bought this camera for my son many years ago and it lasted throughout his pre-school years. He honestly loved this camera and enjoyed countless hours of entertainment with this toy!

My oldest son loves taking digital pictures so I invested in the VTech Kidzoom Camera for him for his birthday. While this is a virtually indestructible digital camera, the quality of the images is just not there. The 1.3 megapixel camera does not take sharp images. Many of the pictures my son takes are blurry. The images are a little better if he zooms in (this camera has 4X zooming capabilities) but they are still not super high quality. I do like this camera for the fact that it allows my son to practice taking pictures with a digital camera. Once he gets a little older, we will transition to a digital camera that takes better quality pictures. If you are looking for a fun toy, this digital camera fits that description. If you are looking for a camera that takes quality images, you will need to invest in a different digital camera. Overall, I would not recommend this camera as a long-term investment. Image Quality Images are not sharp.

I am a mother of 3 boys and know that they can be a bit rough sometimes. I bought this camera for my second child and he loved it. He would carry it everywhere and take pictures and videos all day long. He dropped it quite a few times on many different surfaces and every time it was perfectly fine and kept on working. So as far as durability it gets 10 out of 10 however the quality of the pictures and videos is horrible! It is so grainy and dark that you need to use it in very bright light to even see anything at all and even using it outside on a bright day the quality still is noticeably low. Forget trying to print decent quality pictures from this thing. But then again it is made for little kids and they dont mind that so much. 5 years later, it still works for my third child so I would recommend this for very young children, just dont expect good quality from the pictures. Its more fun to just be able to take the pics.

I bought this camera for my 2 year old who took an interest in my too expensive for little fingers camera. I am so glad I did. I have been given the opportunity to see the world through her eyes. This camera has a double view finder and large grip area so that it is easier for them to hold up and see what they are taking a picture of. It has some fun options like frames and games, but I could honestly do without the hassle of her accidentally getting into those and sometimes having a hard time getting back to regular camera mode. (Those may be more fun as she gets older.) The camera does not have flash so the indoor pictures tend to be out of focus. Outdoor in good lighting she has gotten some great shots! I often find pictures that shock me with how good they are amidst several out of focus or unidentifiable. The camera only has internal memory but it will take more than enough photos for an outing, and moving them to your computer is super easy. I am so happy with this purchase and after posting an album of her best pics online I have several friends running out to get them so that they can see what their kids can do as well. Image Quality Great in good lighting outdoors, most indoor photos are fuzzy. Durability My daughter has drug this along the ground and dropped it several time and it is still working. Battery Life The battery life is good and the camera has an auto shut off feature if it isn't used for a few minutes.

I own two of these Kidizoom cameras for my boys, and they love them. They are a great durable kids camera, as evidenced by the fact that my boys have dropped them many times and they still are completely functional. They are fairly easy to use and take decent pictures. My boys also love that there are a few games on the camera to play. The only thing I wish was easier was the ability to view pictures after taking them. It takes a few steps through the menu to find the pictures rather than a simple "play" button like most adult cameras have. But overall, my four year old can easily operate this camera, and we have been very happy with its performance.

I got this camera as a gift for my son. He was about 3 years old at that time. He liked to play with my camera and I decided to get him his own. Well, it is very simple camera. Do not expect great quality of pictures. However, it is perfect for kids. It is very durable. If you drop it on a concrete floor, it would not break. Plastic is faded over the time, but after several years camera still works.

I purchased this digital camera for my almost-4 yr old this past Christmas. After checking out dozens of reviews, I finally settled on this camera because I own other VTech products that have thus far survived various forms of abuse from my two children. I must say I am still pleasantly surprised by the camera's durability and ease of use. The camera itself is built with a young child in mind and can survive more than one fall to the ground (concrete, to be precise). Though I knew the camera was rather simple and was only 3 pixels, I have been really surprised as how well outdoor pictures look. Some of the pictures my daughter has taken have been nice enough to print and frame. The camera's battery life is also pretty impressive. It comes with some preloaded games, which around here means it is on quite a lot. So far, we have only changed the batteries once. With 64MB of memory, your child can easily take 400 pictures. Downloading the pictures is a breeze and you don't need to install the software.

My grandson was obsessed with my camera and the ability to take pictures and then view them on the viewfinder.  For Christmas I wanted to find something he could call his own!  I think the Kidszoom fills a need, but for a two and a half year old, it may be a little too advanced.  I loved the quality - it stood up to anything that was thrown at it - or when the camera itself was actually thrown!!!!  My grandson loved the fact that he could take his own pictures and the sounds the camera made.  I will have to say that the viewing quality was a little grainy and that is the only knock I had against the camera.  I know that for a child that age, it isn't that important, but when a toddler is taking pictures. sometimes the figures were indistinguishable.  Again, I will admit that my grandson was a little young for this product but it did work as advertised.  I think when he gets a little older, it will be even more fun, as he has not even had a chance to try the games.

I'm a photographer and my kids always want to try using my very expensive camera, something I'm not a big fan of.  We decided to get them each one of these cameras for christmas because they like to take pictures so much.  I was impressed with the heaviness and durablity of these even in the store-they seemed to be kid tough. Now that my kids have been playing with them, I am even more impressed.  The cameras have been dropped repeatedly and seem to have no problems.  I also love that these cameras come with a few little games and editing programs on them that really keep my kids entertained.  The beaks and hats that you can add to photos is something they really like.  The pixels aren't really high on the camera, so don't expect amazing, tack sharp photots, but these are for kids and are perfect for what they are.  My kids haven't seemed to care that the photos are a little blurry-my daughter has mostly been taking pictures of herself anyway.
