VTech - 900MHZ Cordless Telephone Review

I have received two of these phones as gifts.  Both of them had poor voice quality.  I did not use either a week before discarding it.  I have talked to friends who had the same experience with them.  I have wondered if the person who gave them to me got them as a prize of some kind.  I can't imagine anyone buying them who had done any research on their quality.  I did a little of this on line and found that they received very poor ratings on bulletin boards that did consumer testing and evaluations.  They were very small,  attractive, modern and stream lined.  I would have liked to use them.  I never have enough telephones.  I like to have one in most rooms of the house, and I have locations where I could have easily installed and used these had the voice quality been up to par.  It was just too embarrassing to keep asking people to repeat things while talking to them.  Also there was often noise on the line that prevented their hearing me.  I will never purchase or install another Vtech phone.
