The 6.0 GHz Quadline cordless phone by VTech offers an excellent land-line system for your home.  The 4 busiest rooms in the house will offer portable hand-set with individual recharger.  This system, with interference prevention, will give the user clear voice reception and transmittance.  The audio quality is as good as or better than any corded phone.  Other features include:  message recording with alert light, room speaker for each unit, paging from any unit to another, good variety of ring selection, and handset sound locator.  This household phone system by VTech offers the currently available technology at a most affordable price.
