In the spirit of climbing every mountain and fording every stream, I used a dollar-off coupon to try something new (for me) today:  V8 V-Fusion 100% Acai Mixed Berry Juice.  At the regular price of $4.59 for a 46 oz. bottle, this stuff was not cheap but it is a good quality beverage not only because of what it contains but also because of what is NOT in here:  no sugar, high fructose corn syrup, or artificial dyes -- what we have here really is 100% juice.  The crafty folks at the Campbell Soup Company have managed to come up with a line of juices which combine both a full serving of vegetables AND fruit in one 8-oz. serving.  Acai Mixed Berry has a refreshing, not-too-sweet taste comprised of ingredients which include water and concentrated juices of purple carrots, carrots, sweet potatoes, white grapes, apples, acai, blueberries and limes.

STATS:

A 48 oz. bottle holds six 8 oz. servings each containing 110 calories, zero fats of any kind, 27 grams total carbs, 26 grams sugars, zero protein, 100% (D.V.) each Vitamins A and C, and 2% each Calcium and Iron.  Although the label clearly states that this is not a low-calorie beverage, I have since learned that V-Fusion also comes in "Light" varieties which are probably also delicious and worth a try, next time I find another dollar-off coupon.

TASTE TIP:

Everyone knows that fruit juice should be chilled before consuming but V8 V-Fusion 100% Acai Mixed Berry Juice is especially good if you pour a little into a plastic water bottle and stick it in the freezer for a while to get a bit of a "slush" going.  Because there is no added sugar or corn syrup, this is a lovely beverage to have a taste of an hour or so before dinner with no risk of spoiling one's appetite.

I cannot eat or drink my choice of juice...grapefruit...because of medication. Found the Fusion Drinks and love, love, love them. Thanks Campbell Soup Co. The Light Fusions are great and the Acai drink is great, too. Wish it came it light. Bev

I tried some of the V8 V-Fusion, but I didn't like it. I'm picky when it comes to fruit juice. I love the original V8 juice.

I love the original V-8 juice but I can't handle the fusions. It must be the fruit thing because the only fruit I like is bananas!
