Great addition to a healthy diet if used in moderation
I'm not a big fan of juice replacing fruit and vegetable intake as the whole fruit or vegetable is much healthier for you, but when eating whole foods isn't possible, this is a good substitute (on occasion). The label touts a full serving of vegetables (primarily carrot based on the ingredient list). The juice does taste good and the kids in my in-home daycare love it as a treat. A particular use I have found for this juice is to freeze it in ice cube trays and make smoothies by mixing 4-5 cubes in a blender with plain yogurt, fresh spinach and banana (strawberries, pineapple, mango and blueberry are also great choices). The frozen juice makes the smoothie thicker/creamier and sweeter. My concern with this product is that by advertising the "full serving of vegetables" aspect, that parents will forego offering whole vegetables to kids in lieu of this overly sweetened drink. I have children that would prefer not to each their veggies all the time, but that doesn't stop me from offering them. I just hope that other parents do as well.
