Great addition to a healthy diet if used in moderation

Comments about V8 V-Fusion 100% Juice - Strawberry Banana:

I'm not a big fan of juice replacing fruit and vegetable intake as the whole fruit or vegetable is much healthier for you, but when eating whole foods isn't possible, this is a good substitute (on occasion). The label touts a full serving of vegetables (primarily carrot based on the ingredient list). The juice does taste good and the kids in my in-home daycare love it as a treat. A particular use I have found for this juice is to freeze it in ice cube trays and make smoothies by mixing 4-5 cubes in a blender with plain yogurt, fresh spinach and banana (strawberries, pineapple, mango and blueberry are also great choices). The frozen juice makes the smoothie thicker/creamier and sweeter.

My concern with this product is that by advertising the "full serving of vegetables" aspect, that parents will forego offering whole vegetables to kids in lieu of this overly sweetened drink. I have children that would prefer not to each their veggies all the time, but that doesn't stop me from offering them. I just hope that other parents do as well.

Comments about V8 V-Fusion 100% Juice - Strawberry Banana:

If you have problems getting your fussy child to eat fruits or vegetables, this is the stuff for you! My two year old will not touch anything green (just like her father!) so I had to find someway to get some vegetables into her diet. I'm not a fan of regular V-8, the tomato based smell kind of gets to me, but the strawberry banana flavored juice is absolutely wonderful and both my husband and daughter are heavy drinkers of it. She asks for it by name she likes it that much.

I feel better serving this to my daughter rather than a glass of regular apple juice or white grape juice. Strawberry banana V-8 has that full serving of fruits and vegetables and I can be happy she is getting what she needs through it! I even find myself enjoying a glass or can of it now and then too. We do water it down a little bit because she is such a big drinker, and we also put her powder medicine in to dissolve.

Comments about V8 V-Fusion 100% Juice - Strawberry Banana:

After a long and exhausting day,I was parched and the hot and humid weather didn't help at all. I found myself  in a little convenience store, browsing the snack area and something caught my eye . It was a 100%,all natural fruit drink.A 100% all natural  V8 juice drink.I did not realize how refreshing a juice drink would be! I usually drink sodas and as refreshing as sodas are to me, I really fell in love with this V8 juice drink. This really made my day. While  In my busy days I know I should always take time to drink and eat healthier. As long as I have been shopping I had not noticed the healthy drinks, Im usually in the soda or the blah juice drink ilse. It was a real pick me up,and to my surprise most are 100% natural. Im still in love with sodas, although its not the healthiest product out there, but I also know it is nice to switch up every once in a while and add a little balance to my menu.

Yummy

Comments about V8 V-Fusion 100% Juice - Strawberry Banana:

I just tried V-8 fusion Strawberry Banana juice for the first time today and I loved it!!!  I would never have tried this product if it weren't for a friend of mine that recommended it to me.  I have a son with food allergies that does not eat any vegetables and only a few fruits, but he loves juice.  I saw that V-8 Fusion is 100% juice and decided to try it on him.  this product does not contain any added sugars or high fructose corn syrup.  He also loved it!  I don't like him to drink juice, but I figure if he is going to drink juice I would like it to include a serving of fruits and vegetables.  So far this is the only flavor I have tried.  This juice is very sweet and full of flavor.  You can really taste the banana.  I like that you cannot taste any vegetables. The juice is on the pricier side, but I tend to use coupons and will buy it on sale.  This is definitely a stockpile item.

V8 V-Fusion Strawberry Banana Juice has Veggies Too

By

Comments about V8 V-Fusion 100% Juice - Strawberry Banana:

Earlier this week I stopped to analyze what I had eaten over the past few days, and realized that I had eaten very little fruits and vegetables.  I was feeling pretty bad about that, and while shopping i saw the V8-Fusion juices.  I thought that I would give them a try since they are made of both fruits and vegatables.  A Full serving of fruit and a full serving of vegetables to be exact.  I bought a couple of the 12 oz single serve bottles.  One of them was the V8 V-Fusion Strawberry Banana.

Each serving contains 1/2 cup of vegetables and 1/2 cup of fruit.

The fruits and vegetables used in the V8 V-Fusion Strawberry Banana are: Sweet Potatoes, carrots, tomatoe, beets, white grapes, orages, apples, strawberries, and purified bananas. It contains Antioxidants and contains A-C-E-B6.  There is also potasium and magnesium.

There is no additional added sugar, but because of all the natural sugar in the friuts it still has 38 grams of sugar and 42 grams of carbohydrates.  There are also 110 mg's of sodium, and 380 grams of potasium.  The only real problem I have with this is that it has 170 calories, that seems like quite a bit to me for something that is made of fruits and vegetables.

As for the taste it is pretty good.  It tastes like fruit punch on steroids.  The taste is very strong, very sweet, and a little bit tangy.  It might be a bit much for kids, but as an adult I like it.  I am however weary of the extra calories. So I don't know if I will drink this a lot, the last thing I need is more calories.  I will probably stick to regular V8 that has just 30 calories per serving,

I do recommend this it certainly tastes good enough and provids a lot of fruits and vegetables, so if you find that you just are not getting enough fruits and vegetables and you don't like regular V8 you might want to drink a serving of V-A Fruit Fusion.
