Anyone who has just read my emotional review of [Campbell's Tomato Juice][1] won't be surprised to learn that I like THIS stuff too ... an 11 oz. can of ***Campbell's V-8 Vegetable Juice***, a loaf of bread, and Viggo Mortensen beside me in the wilderness would be enough for me!

An 11 oz. can of ***Campbell's V-8 Vegetable*** Juice is considered to be one serving which contains 70 calories with zero calories from fat, zero grams each total fat, saturated fat, trans fat, and cholesterol, 880 mg. sodium, 720 grams potassium, 15 grams total carbs, three grams dietary fiber, ten gram sugars, and three grams protein.   Vitamins and minerals include:  60% (D.V.) Vitamin A, 140% Vitamin C, 6% calcium, and 4% iron.

**TASTE TIP:**

You won't be surprised to learn that I like a splash of lemon juice (and perhaps a stalk of celery to stir with) in either ***Campbell's V-8 Vegetable ***and/or Tomato Juice.  I realize there is a lot of sodium in this beverage.  It may be that you would enjoy the lower sodium versions if you don't care for salt or if you must severely restrict your sodium intake.  Maybe someday I'll try to get used to the taste of those healthier alternatives myself but until then, I'll sacrifice on sodium somewhere else during the day to enjoy a can of this now and then.

After several years of drinking V-8 (Low Sodium) rather than fruit juices (at the advice of my physician, since I'm diabetic), I tried the new "Lite" V-8.  Great marketing ploy - they just replaced much of the vegetable juice with water, which is now the largest component of the product.  The result is a thin, tasteless, fluid that bears no resemblance to "real" V-8.  Why do companies degrade a good product?  Back to low sodium for me!

Comments about V8 100% Vegetable Juice:

I like to drink V8 Original in mid morning and a snack before bed. I have diabetes and have found that if I drink a 11.5 oz can before bed I don't wake up feeling as hungry and my glucose levels are better. I tried the low sodium V8 and didn't like that at all, it didn't taste as good as the regular. I will continue drinking V8 Original, I'm a customer for life!

I like that it's good for me, but that's about it.

Comments about V8 100% Vegetable Juice:

My family and I have a busy lifestyle so always making sure we get the right amount of vegetables each day isn't always easy. V8 juice has been around forever so I finally decided to give it a try. To my disappointment, my kids didn't like the taste at all. One of them actually spit it out and she's never done that with anything. Personally, I didn't like the taste of it either. The only thing I really like about it is how good it is for you. For my family though, I'm just going to try to add more vegetables to our meals instead.

V8: A Healthy and Versatile Juice

    By

Comments about V8 100% Vegetable Juice:

V8 tastes very good no matter how you use it. I like it right out of the refrigerator. Like the ads for it suggest we don't always get enough vegetables in our diet and this is an easy way to do it. I have used it for years and its very versatile. I tried it as a soup base and its wonderful, especially over just tomato juice or tomatoes alone. It gives a tangy kick you can't get anywhere else. Also, it makes a wonderful base for shrimp cocktails! Its thick and rich and you will love it if you usually use tomatoes or ketchup. I also use the hot and spicy version in any recipe that calls for tomato products. You can pour it in an ice tray and freeze it for when you make bloody mary's too. Tastes great! You can add cilantro and green chiles and make a wonderful salsa too. I feel better when using it because it does have nutritional value I feel good about. It also has a long shelf life and in the refrigerator. The price is always competitive too. Love this product.

I know this stuff is good for you but it tastes kind of gross

Comments about V8 100% Vegetable Juice:

My dad used to drink tall glasses of this stuff with salt and pepper mixed in. It's really good for you and an easy way to get vegetables into your diet if you like the taste. I think it's kind of gross that it is so thick and vegetable-y and I'm a vegetarian so it isn't that I mind vegetables at all. It just feels like drinking cold tomato soup, it feels like it should be a meal, not a beverage.

    Eight veggies, one glass.

Comments about V8 100% Vegetable Juice:

I really like the idea of V8 Vegetable Juice. It seems like a simple, easy way to balance your diet. I can even tolerate the taste, even though it's like drink drinking a less flavorful marinara sauce. My biggest problem with V8 is that is tends to be pretty harsh on my stomach. I don't know if it's a food sensitivity or if V8 is too acidic, but I get a sick stomach every time I drink it. I'm not suggesting that the product is tainted in anyway, just that V8 and I are a poor fit.

Comments about V8 100% Vegetable Juice:

A lot of people might not like the taste of this because it's full of vegetables, but I think it tastes pretty good. I drink it because it's very good for you and it contains a lot of vitamin c, so it's very good for your immune system. I usually buy the cans because they are the perfect size and they are perfect for on the go.

    nutritious and delicious

    By

Comments about V8 100% Vegetable Juice:

I began drinking original V8 juice in the late 1970's. I first tasted V8 at my aunt's house.  She kept it in the fridge for my uncle. I liked it so I would purchase a six pack of the small cans and drink one a day. I increased my daily use of V8 in 1981 when I became pregnant with my first child. Although I grew up in the country where we had a garden every year and all my friends ate fruits off the trees and vegetables from the garden,  I was a finiky eater.  And not one to eat a lot of vegetables at that time. So when I became pregnant   I wanted to make sure my baby was getting proper nutrition.  V8 is delicious and nutricious. It is low in calories and has 8 garden vegetables in each serving.  Even though I now eat four or five servings of vegetables daily I still include original V8 juice in my diet.  I also use V8 to make vegeterian vegetable soup.  It is a tastey treat. V8 juice is an easy way to live healthy.

A vegetable garden in your mouth!

Comments about V8 100% Vegetable Juice:

**V-8, a drink chocked full of veggies. I love V-8! I could drink all of the large size can in one time! This vegetable juice is so full of vitamins. When you drink it you can actually feel the thank you from your body! All those vegetables going in at once. It is great for someone also who doesn't actually like to persay eat vegetables, they can still get their veggies in a drink. The taste is so rich and fulfilling. I use it also to add to homemade vegetable beef soup, to add a different twist to it. V-8 is great with a grilled cheese sandwich. I am a big vegetable lover and this satisfies me when I get a vegetable craving in between meals. I could actually even drink it for breakfast. It is my favorite, it is the original V-8. I would not even condsider buying another brand of vegetable juice. The taste is so delicious. I feel so good and full of energy after drinking a glass of V-8. Highly recommend!**
